Married At First Sight Veteran Duncan James Advises Current Cast To Be Careful Of Social Media Offers Once They Get Their Accounts Back

Married At First Sight veteran Duncan James offered some surprising advice on Saturday for the current cast ahead of their upcoming reunion episode.

The former reality star, 38, said the cast would be flooded with offers and requests and so it was important to only take direction from people they know they can trust.

‘Once they get their social media platforms back, some of the cast will be inundated with offers, requests and pressure to do things they don’t want to do,’ he told Yahoo.

‘You just have to be your genuine authentic self, as that’s why people are interested in following you. So, take advice from your close friends who know and love you, not from people who have a commercial interest in your decision.’

Duncan, who was unsuccessfully paired with Alyssa Barmonde on MAFS last year and later began dating co-star Evelyn Ellis, also urged the cast to act on any attraction they felt with each other.

‘If you’re friends with someone in the cast and think it might be something more, follow your heart and go for it. You never know what might happen.’

Last month, Duncan revealed the sweet way he made his relationship with Evelyn official.

The 38-year-old told 9Entertainment about the ‘proposal’ he made to Evelyn when they became a couple.

‘We were at a restaurant in Manly. We’d been on a couple of dates… there wasn’t many people in the restaurant actually,’ he said.

‘I didn’t realise you had to officially ask someone, “Will you be my partner?”’

Duncan then popped the question and asked Evelyn whether she’d like to be his girlfriend.

‘It nearly felt like a proposal, but I was actually just proposing for someone to be my girlfriend,’ he added.

Duncan and Evelyn have been going strong since announcing they were dating in May last year.

At the time, Evelyn confirmed her relationship with fellow MAFS groom Duncan, who was paired with Alyssa Barmonde on the show.

The pair said it was ‘exhilarating’ and ‘freeing’ to finally go public after months of rumours.
