Lara, originally from Canada but now based in Nottingham, is known for her brief stint on Married at First Sight UK, where she married Richie Dews.
Their union ended after just three weeks, citing a lack of communication.
After their split, Richie confessed: ‘If I’m really honest, I’m heartbroken because part of me thought she was the one.’
While Lara hit back, saying: ‘I wanted sunset walks on the beach, and he wanted personal growth.’
Since the show, Lara has focused on her podcast, Lara on Eyre, where she discusses life after the show and other personal insights.
Prior to her hospital stay the mum-of-two took part in a Instagram Q&A where she revealed she had once dated a famous actor, later confessing it to be Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam.
As she detailed their relationship, she said the pair were introduced by mutual friend Antony Cotton during the filming of Queer as Folk.
She told The Sun: ‘He was lovely and I’ve always had a soft spot for him. I was friends with Antony Cotton who is on Coronation Street, and he was filming Queer As Folk.
‘I saw Charlie on the television and I said, ‘That guy is so hot, I have to be introduced,’ so he introduced us and that’s how we got together.’
The relationship eventually ended due to long-distance challenges, and the two lost touch.
‘I doubt he’d see a message from me now,’ she admitted, referencing Charlie’s rise to fame.
Despite this, Lara had only positive things to say about the actor: ‘He’s a great guy, and we had such a laugh together.’
