MARRIED At First Sight UK has been hit by hundreds of Ofcom complaints in just five days as fans rage over a ‘bully’ row.
The E4 reality show came under fire following its latest episodes, which saw viewers express outrage over some controversial moments.
According to Ofcom, a total of 161 complaints have racked up, with viewers particularly upset over two separate storylines.
On 17th October, the show received 71 complaints, with the majority focused on alleged bullying behaviour by cast members Holly Ditchfield and Polly Sellman, directed towards fellow participant Hannah Norburn.
Then, on 21 October 2024, another 91 complaints were logged, this time concerning comments made by Richelle Cade to her husband Orson Burse during the commitment ceremony.
Viewers also raised concerns about further alleged bullying by other “various participants”.
Just yesterday, viewers condemned Richelle for her “bullying” and “vile” behaviour towards her husband.
The 48-year-old unleashed her harsh views about Orson, 41, for the last time during the Commitment Ceremony.
News emerged that Orson and Stephen’s wife Hannah had kissed during the couple’s retreat – and all hell broke loose.
Orson admitted: “On the last night of the retreat me and Hannah were speaking and we shared a kiss. There was a little connection there. I’m not going to lie.
“What I had was done, I knew what she was in was done, so honestly I didn’t feel like I was walking on anybody’s toes or disrespecting anyone.”
The mum-of-one poked: “He saw an opportunity with Hannah to recouple and stay in the process. He jumped at it. You’re an embarrassment to yourself at this point.
“Before I came into this process I asked for a strong, intelligent man who has a bit of integrity, and I haven’t found that in Orson at all. I find him quite weak-willed, you really aren’t as sharp as you think you are.
“It’s pretty obvious I think to most people that you’re a bit simple. He definitely lacks any shred of integrity. So, one week too late, but it’s obvious – leave.”
Orson responded: “I feel like I was trying and trying and trying. It was just like squeezing blood from a stone. Just get me out of here please.”
Before that, they called for Polly to axed from the show after a shock ‘threat’ to a fellow bride.
Hannah was confronted by the brides after being accused of flirting with Sionainn’s husband Ryan.
Hannah told them: “Nobody is letting me speak, how do you think that makes me feel? It’s f****** horrible.”
But Polly was quick to jump in and told her: “Don’t start getting muggy.
“Do not start speaking to people like that. The last thing you want to do is get brave.”
An upset Hannah replied: “Don’t threaten me.”
Polly said: “I’m not threatening you. The last thing you want to do when we’re getting like this with you is start being muggy.”
