Married at First Sight UK’s Caspar has been slammed by fans for his ‘misogynistic’ comments which came just moments after marrying his bride Emma.

The groom, 34, compared his bride, 31, to his sister, and although the pair did share a striking resemblance, he also admitted that he ‘hated’ her.

Caspar said that both women were ‘strong-minded and strong-willed’ and although he ‘fancied parts of her’, he didn’t like ‘all of her.’

Speaking about his new bride, he said: ‘Emma is full of energy, big smile, really big laugh, beautiful dazzling woman….but if I’m being completely honest, she very much reminds me of my sister… who I hate.’

Adding of his sister, Caspar continued: ‘Daisy’s the only person in my life who drives me around the f**king bend.’

The gardener continued: ‘She’s the one person in my life who, if you want to see me angry, it can take her under 30 seconds to drive me up the wall.’

Fans of the show were quick to spot ‘red flags’ and said that his comments gave them ‘bad vibes.’

Sharing their thoughts to X, they wrote: ‘I don’t like Caspar and the way he talks to his sister’; Caspar tells everyone and anyone about his hate for his sister’; ‘So Caspar doesn’t like strong-minded women’; ‘Caspar blatantly gunna bury his sister on the estate somewhere under a shrub.’

‘Caspar getting angry with his sister out of nowhere… naaaa he’s a red flag’; ‘Caspar if I heard my man speaking to a girl like that I’d be gone no questions just gone’; ‘So, Caspar actually hates his sister. Scary!’

‘Every other sentence out of Caspar’s mouth is him criticising Emma’; ‘Getting bad vibes with the way Caspar spoke to his sister then. It was uncalled for! Mask slipping? How long before he speaks to Emma like that?’; ‘Caspar is vile to his sister.’

He isn’t the only groom to cause a huge stir during the first episode, as when the brides and grooms-to-be enjoyed one last night of freedom on their respective hen and stag do’s, it seemed Alex Henry was already considering a potential wife swap.

Just minutes after meeting his co-stars, the RAF airman, who has since been jailed after going AWOL from base to film the show, caused a heated argument with his co-stars.

‘What if I’m not attracted to my wife and there is another lady that I am attracted to? … you have to consider every option,’ he questioned.

‘Just because you’ve been matched up to somebody doesn’t mean you are going to like them.’

The rest of the group were left aghast after Alex’s comments, with Charlie exclaiming: ‘So go and be single yourself outside of this experiment then!’

Seemingly surprised by everyone’s reaction, he said to the camera: ‘Everyone has taken my point of view like as if I am here to steal someones wife.’

Viewers at home were left in shock, claiming Alex’s comments were a ‘big red flag.’

Sharing their thoughts to X, they wrote: ‘Been on the show for 0.5 seconds and thinking about wife swap keep those thoughts in your head at least?’; ‘I hope that “wife swap” dude gets kicked off the show before he makes it to the aisle’; ‘Thinking about someone else’s wife already? Yh he’s not here for the right motives.’

‘Geezer chatting wife swapping if he’s not happy before he’s even been paired up, this could be an all timer series’; ‘Already talking bout liking someone else over your wife’; ‘This guy saying about if he doesn’t find his wife attractive, wife swap. Red flag’; ‘Who is this plonker talking about wife swap?’;

‘B***** hell, red flags… red bunting!!!’; ‘Don’t leave with someone else’s wife omds. What’s wrong with you’; ‘This man is already winding me up. Don’t make me talk about his hairline already. He hasn’t even met his wife.’

This week it was revealed Alex had been jailed for abandoning his post to go on the Channel 4 dating show.

The RAF airman abandoned his post at an electronic warfare base for love – or fame – and he appeared on TV despite being denied permission by his commanding officer.

He was stationed at RAF Spadeadam in Cumbria and asked for extra leave so he could take part, but this was refused.

The 28-year-old from Birmingham was seized by military police upon his return and served 24 days of his 34 day sentence.

His spokesman told The Sun: ‘He returned after filming of his own volition and handed himself into the military authorities.

‘He was sentenced to 34 days in a military prison and served 24 as a model inmate.’
