MARRIED At First Sight stars Adam Nightingale and Amy Kenyon have continued to fuel groom swap rumours after sharing a hotel bedroom.
During the latest series, Adam, 33, was married to Polly Sellman, 28, but he never truly connected with her on a romantic level despite them lasting as a couple until the final vows.
Meanwhile, Amy, 27, was overwhelmed by her TV husband Luke Debono’s constant sexual innuendos and sickly-sweet compliments.
Speculation gained even more traction after the wedding planner shared a flirty TikTok video, which saw the pair playfully interacting, even sharing bites of each other’s food during a trip away.
While up in Manchester for the Lemon Fills Launch Party at MNKY HSE nightclub, the pair began their day with a Starbucks treat.
Filming themselves tucking into paninis, Amy playfully stuffed one into Adam’s face – which he didn’t seem to mind at all.
He later stepped up as the hero when Amy’s car oil light came on, helping her out.
The pair indulged in some retail therapy at Manchester Arndale, grabbing smoothies along the way.
While Amy spent two hours at a make-up salon, Adam patiently waited for her.
Their day continued with a meal at Nando’s before checking into the budget Leonardo Hotel, where rooms start at £64 per night
While Amy addressed romance rumours in the comments, claiming they’re “just friends” and explaining that Adam attended the event in place of his wife Holly, fans remain unconvinced.
She even insisted that, while they shared the hotel room, she took the single bed.
But many didn’t buy it, with one commenting: “No one stayed in that single bed.”
Another asked: “Are you two together ? You two look stunning together and Amy you are such a gorgeous girl.”
Someone else joked: “Polly sat watching this fuming,” while a fourth chimed in with: “The only thing I want for Christmas is you two to be official.”
This latest development adds fuel to the fire of rumours surrounding the duo, which have been circulating for some time.
Adam recently branded Amy “attractive” and “the female version of me”, sending MAFS viewers into a frenzy.
Appearing on FUBAR Radio’s Access All Areas with hosts Bobby Norris and Ellen Coughlan, Adam didn’t hold back when asked who he would choose to recouple with from the show.
He confessed: “I’d probably say Amy, just because she’s an attractive lady, and I don’t think we would argue because we’re so alike.”
Adam went on to describe their unique bond, adding, “We’re like the female and male version of each other, like we get each other’s banter.
“Me and Amy have said that we’ve got such a special friendship that we’d never want to jeopardise that.”
The pair’s close friendship has long been a talking point among fans, with many wondering if their connection might blossom into something more.
It wasn’t the first time Adam’s been forced to address romance rumours between the pair.
The Nottingham barber was grilled by BBC East Midlands about the pair’s relationship just weeks ago.
Speaking inside his barbershop, Adam said: “Me and Amy, she’s like the female version of me. We’re so alike.
“We’ve both said to each other, yeah, we find each other attractive but our friendship’s that good we’d never want to spoil that.
“So I’ve always said to Amy I’d rather have you as a friend in my life than nothing.
“I think me and Amy will be staying friends for, I’d like to think the rest of my life because she’s someone that I do trust and I feel I can tell her anything.”
“There’s nothing romantic going on with me and Amy,” insisted Adam. “We’ve been behaving, we’re like best friends.
“I am on the market. I’m single, ready to mingle, I’m not getting married any time soon.”
The pair risked sparking a feud after an eyebrow raising display at a recent cast party.
One snap shared on social media showed Adam jokingly proposing to Amy after they each split from their show partners.
Emma Barnes and Nathan Campbell posted a photo of them in the same pose – with fans suggesting it was a dig at their co-stars.
It followed Amy fuelling her bitter fall-out with Polly by sharing private messages between them.
Taking to Instagram, Amy shared WhatsApp messages from a fiery row with Polly, accusing her of spreading false rumours about her and Adam during partner swap week.
Amy, who insists that her relationship with Adam was purely platonic, accused Polly of being a hypocrite.
Screenshots revealed Polly had defended Amy in private conversations, but later appeared to fuel rumours about a potential affair during filming.
Amy told fans: “Proof that the rumours Polly’s fuelling aren’t true.”
In one exchange, Amy expressed her frustration, writing:
“I always said to you I’d rather you of told me anything you saw that was putting me in detriment, and you did.
“Screenshot this f*****g convo and put it on ur story.”
The feud escalated when Amy uncovered a fan comment accusing her of inappropriate behaviour with Adam, which Polly appeared to like.
