Married At First Sight star Ross McCarthy has been supported by his new girlfriend at a boxing match after he split from his reality show wife.
The 32-year-old painter and decorator from Manchester had been paired with 29-year-old aesthetics practitioner Sacha Jones on E4’s chaotic reality dating show. Viewers watched as the pair swapped vows and then jetted off on a romantic honeymoon to Barbados together.
While Ross and Sacha have proved to be fan favourites for the current ninth season, it seems their relationship has not lasted long as the pair have all but confirmed they are no longer together. As part of the rules of Married At First Sight, participants are generally not allowed to reveal the outcome of their romance until it airs on TV.
And most couples don’t reveal if their relationship has lasted until the end of season reunion show. But clues have been laid out by Ross and Sacha as they tellingly unfollowed each other on social media – and he went on to declare his love for someone new.
Reports have suggested that Ross is now dating a woman named Magda – and has even got the letter ‘M’ tattooed on him in her honour. The pair have sent flirtatious messages to each other for the world to see on social media – with him writing: “You’re the best”, to which she responded “You’re welcome, you can keep me forever.”
And now it seems Magda has been out supporting Ross while he has been fighting in the ring. He was taking part in a fight hosted by Square Circle Events in Manchester on Saturday at Mercure Hotel – drawing in an enthusiastic crowd.
Magda was in the audience and shared footage of the event on her Instagram Stories – which Ross in turn shared online. Magda shared a video clip with a simple caption over the top showing her writing: “You got this” as a hashtag and adding a praying hands emoji and red heart emoji to the message. After Ross won his round, she added more footage and a caption stating: “Yasssss” alongside a crown emoji, celebration hands emoji, and a boxing glove emoji to boot.
While it is not 100% confirmed Ross and Magda are dating, her Instagram page is set to private and the only details about her are that she has shared the letter R with a heart beside it in her bio – suggesting her heart belongs to someone with the initial R. So far in the 2024 season of MAFS UK, only one couple has split.
Eve Reid, 31, from Omagh and Charlie Curtis, 30, from Surrey were married on the show and enjoyed a honeymoon in Mexico. But the love was not to last and the pair split long before the grand finale – and dropped out of the reality show following their breakup.
