Married At First Sight Star Reveals Shocking Insight Into The Dinner Parties: ‘I Wouldn’T Recommend It To My Worst Enemy’

Married At First Sight star Eden Harper has shared a very surprising insight into the show’s infamous Dinner Parties.

Eden, 28, appeared on the 2024 iteration of the Channel Nine experiment where she was paired with Jayden Eynaud.

Speaking with Yahoo Lifestyle on Thursday, the blonde beauty revealed contestants are served with small amounts of ‘terrible’ food during their drama-filled catch-ups.

‘I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy. It was cold and there wasn’t enough of it,’ Eden told the publication.

‘By the time I even leant over for a piece of chicken, all that was left was lettuce. It was not good.’

She added as the series progressed, portion sizes increased but the quality of the plates did not.

‘Towards the end of the season, because you get less and less people, you end up with more and more food,’ she said.

‘Always eat before the dinner parties. I’d tell that to anyone, any season.’

Eden admitted when it came to the drinks, quaffing with abandon at the dinner table was frowned upon, while the cocktail party was a different story.

She said the pre-loading soiree was a ‘free-for-all’ with a first come, first served mentality.

‘But then in the actual dinner party, it’s maybe, like, three or four jugs of wine across the whole table,’ she shared.

‘It’s red or white, and if you don’t drink right away, there are no other options.’

Eden also gave some insight into what happens between the cocktail and dinner parties.

She claimed, unlike what viewers see, filming stops for two hours while participants are ushered into tents to film pieces to camera and to take promo photos.

Eden also revealed to offset the hunger caused by the dinner parties, she and Jordan used to bring sushi to snack on as they waited in their tent.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Nine for comment.

The reality star and her ex-hubby Jayden went their separate ways in a shock split back in April, just after the reunion episode aired.

Eden, confirmed the news on Instagram at the time after eight months of dating.

She revealed their relationship hadn’t translated off-screen as she hinted at some difficulties in the real world.

‘When I made the decision at Final Vows to be with Jayden, I really did that with the intention of it being forever,’ Eden began.

‘Jayden and I spent many months together after the experiment, [my dog] Cub gained a dad and I gained a whole second family who I’m truly grateful for.

‘I’m saddened to share that toward the end of the show airing, our relationship came to an end. The reality is, the person I chose, didn’t choose me.’

‘Whilst I’m disappointed that what you saw didn’t translate in the real world, I will never regret this experiment, the people I met, the lessons I learnt and the growth it has had on me,’ she finished.

Later, Jayden released a similar statement, posting: ‘Sometimes in life, things don’t always go the way you had hoped for.

‘After the experiment, Eden and I went back to the Gold Coast and continued to enjoy living our lives together and getting to know each other every day.

‘However, unfortunately, our relationship ended not long before the end of the experiment airing.’
