Married At First Sight’s Rhi Disljenkovic and Jeff Gobbels are still going strong.
The couple, who took the next step in their romance during the Homestays when Jeff gave his bride a key to his apartment, were loved up prior to the reunion.
Filming the upcoming episode in Sydney recently, the couple flew in from Melbourne together and seemed very much a couple.
Rhi, 34, was all smiles and she headed through the terminal with her ‘husband’ by her side.
The MAFS bride wore a black crop top under a denim jacket along with a pair of black tights.
She had on a light makeup look and wore white sneakers, while carrying a dark sports bag.
Jeff, 40, dressed casually in a black t-shirt and blue jeans along with black and white sneakers.
Rhi and Jeff recently opened up about what really went down at the couples retreat, revealing that friendships were pushed to the brink as tensions boiled over.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Australia, the reality TV couple admitted that while the retreat was meant to be a ‘circuit breaker,’ it quickly turned into a pressure cooker, exposing fractures in relationships and testing alliances among the cast.
‘It was good to get out of the bubble,’ Rhi said.
‘But spending every hour of the day together really does take people out of their comfort zone. It definitely tested relationships – both marriages and friendships.’
Jeff echoed her sentiments, adding, ‘I think the friendships were tested more than the relationships to be honest.
‘Whenever we get into a group environment, fireworks happen, and this week was no different.’
Meanwhile, the couple reflected on their own journey, admitting they felt grateful to be in a strong position amidst the ongoing chaos.’
‘Watching all the drama unfold around you, you feel grateful for your own relationship,’ Rhi said.
‘At the start, we thought there was no hope of progressing, but we’ve come a long way.’
During the interview, Rhi also opened up about the pressure of balancing normal life with newfound fame.
‘One minute you’re in a makeup chair on live TV, and the next minute I’m putting groceries into the car and doing all the PA things that I do for my friends’ she laughed.
‘So yeah, it’s like I’ve got two different hats’.
Meanwhile Jeff admitted things look a bit different for him: ‘You’re on TV one minute, and the next I’m taking the ladder off the car and walking into a construction site.’
Elsewhere the couple admitted they were feeling a rollercoaster of emotions watching back their experience.
‘You kind of have to take a deep breath and remind yourself that it’s already done and dusted. But it still brings up a lot of feelings that you felt at that time,’ Rhi admitted.
‘It’s a very strange experience because it happened a while ago, but watching it all unfold again makes the emotions feel fresh.’
