Married At First Sight Australia groom Richard Sauerman has found a new love following his heartbreaking split from bride Andrea Thompson.
The motivational speaker, 62, took to Instagram on Tuesday to debut his new relationship with Margie Hawker.
In the photo, Richard wore a tan jacket over a black shirt, while Margie donned an off-white jacket over a black top. Both accessorised with black-rimmed spectacles.
The caption on Richard’s ‘Instagram Official’ post poked fun at their matching outfits.
‘Date nite – looking weirdly like twins,’ he wrote, followed by a laughing emoji.
Some of Richard’s followers took to the comments to offer their congratulations.
‘Loved you on MAFS Richard. A true gentleman. Wishing you both all the happiness you deserve,’ wrote on fan.
‘Beautiful Richie!! All the best, everyone deserves to be happy. Good on you,’ wrote another.
Richard and Margie have been posting selfies with each other for about two months now.
In April, when Richard shared a picture of them together on a Sydney balcony, the MAFS star referred to Margie as a ‘close friend’.
‘Hanging out with my close friend Margie Hawker,’ he wrote alongside the picture.
At the time, co-star Jack Dunkley commented on the post indicating he knew the couple were an item.
‘Oh hello Margie I see you,’ Dunkley wrote, to which Margie replied with a waving emoji.
It comes after the devastating result for Richard in this year’s season of Married At First Sight, which saw him and bride Andrea, 51, leave the experiment before the Final Vows.
In the tear-filled Commitment Ceremony, the show’s oldest groom yet chose to leave Andrea after they failed to get their romance back on track.
Speaking to 9Entertainment following their exit, Andrea said: ‘There wasn’t just one ick with Richard, it was a few things and I was trying to work through them.
‘It was little thing after little thing and I think Richie just got frustrated because he wanted what we had.’
One of those ‘little things’ was during Intimacy Week when Richard was ‘very vocal about [their] sex life in quite a harsh way’.
