The Married At First Sight reunion is set to be rocked by a shocking revelation as rumours swirl groom Clint Rice called bride Jamie Marinos a vicious name which has yet to be aired.
The pair came to verbal blows during Retreat Week, with Clint’s ex-wife Lauren Hall calling her all the names under the sun, including ‘troll’, ‘drunk bogan’, and ‘Mean Girls 2.0’.
However, an inside source recently claimed the worst insult came from Clint, 43, and is set to be resurfaced during the reunion—but the groom appeared on the MAFS Goss podcast special on Thursday to put that rumour to bed.
Daily Mail Australia understands the entire season 12 cast will be played a clip from a shocking ‘private’ conversation between Clint and Lauren, 37, which took place during the couple’s retreat in Byron Bay.
There has been speculation the clip includes a shocking moment in which Clint calls Jamie, 28, a ‘f***ing c**t’.
Now, Clint has met with Abbie Chatfield to clear his name and address the jaw-dropping rumours, admitting there were a few nasty names he called Jamie which never made it to air.
Daily Mail Australia previously reported both Lauren and Clint were bad-mouthing ‘basically the whole cast’ behind their backs.
According to our cast insider, ‘s*** really hit the fan’ when it was revealed he had referred to Jamie and other female participants as ‘c***s’.
Both Clint and his new girlfriend Jacqui Burfoot are set to appear on the reunion episode, which was filmed one month after Final Vows.
Bachelor alum Abbie, 29, welcomed Clint onto her MAFS Goss podcast special to clear up the rumours, after he texted It’s A Lot producer Oscar Gordon: ‘Hey mate, just to clarify, I never called Jamie a c**t.’
Trying to sort out the timeline, Abbie asked him: ‘You were swearing at Jamie and then we found out that allegedly you called Jamie a c**t. Can you clear things up?’
Abbie asked the ex pro golfer if he could confirm the rumour the cast will be played a producer interview clip, where he allegedly calls Jamie a c**t.
‘I don’t recall that being a thing at the reunion,’ he said. ‘I did say other stuff about Jamie.’
‘It was a night where Lauren and I were sitting outside the circle, and we were having a private conversation and I referred to Jamie as a f***ing mole,’ Clint said.
‘Yeah, right,’ Abbie said. ‘So… adjacent to c**t then. What was it about Jamie that made you react like that?
‘Because Jamie was never really mean to you.’
‘She was never directly mean to me, no,’ Clint admitted.
‘I was disgusted by my behaviour. Jamie is outspoken, that’s her nature. I’m quietly spoken, and that’s my nature.’
He added the scenes were ‘quite hard to watch’ because Jamie ‘was so supportive of me a lot of the time’.
‘I think it came from a place of me being so supportive of Lauren,’ he added.
‘I promised Lauren on the wedding day that when I’m with someone—and it’s the same now with Jacqui—I will always back my partner.
‘And sometimes that can be to your detriment.’
Clint also confirmed he did swear at both Jamie and Dave during the retreat, and yelled at them to ‘sit the f**k down’.
‘I swore at Jamie and Dave. I regret saying it. It’s not behaviour I’m proud of at all,’ he told Abbie.
‘There was a lot of pressure on and there was a lot happening.
‘I did say those words. It was quite intimidating because Dave is a huge dude. I did apologise to them a couple times.
‘Lauren and I both went in and apologised and it was fine.’
