Married At First Sight groom Brent Vitiello has hit back at claims his Mos x Daily sea moss business is a ‘scam’ after unhappy customers slammed him on social media.

Last year, the 36-year-old former reality TV star launched the business to sell jars of sea moss, a superfood rich in vitamins and minerals which has gained popularity in the industry.

However, Brent has been inundated with complaints from disappointed customers who claimed they never received their product after sending him money.

Brent told Daily Mail Australia that many of the unhappy customers calling his business a ‘scam’ were presenting a one-sided and incomplete picture of what happened.

‘We decided to give out free products. Free, not even making money on it. 30,000 people joined up to the sale and we freshly harvest and make each package to order. There were always going to be delays,’ Brent said.

‘I have no time, nor will I entertain the word scam when we are sending out products and have over a hundred employees working around the clock to make this happen. It takes away from their hard work.’

He stated that he had no time for ‘cancel culture’ stemming from dissatisfied customers complaining that their free sea moss had not been delivered on time.

‘This cancel culture bulls**t, online bullying and tantrums because of a delay when we gave out free product is an example of what we deal with daily,’ he added.

‘It’s all for clout when we are doing this for the people and we take the criticism and taunts with a smile and keep pushing forward.’

While Brent’s business did indeed give out free sea moss orders to anyone who signed up, people were still required to pay for shipping and handling.

Meanwhile, Brent recently took to TikTok to knock back suggestions his company was a ‘scam’.

‘Every time you use that word, you take away from the hard work of over 100 employees working day and night to make sure this brand is basically giving the best sea moss in the world,’ he said.

He added his company operated on a different business model to its competitors and as a result there would be some unfortunate delays, and asked his customers to show some understanding.

‘My whole purpose was to create a business that harvests the purest and freshest sea moss from the most bio-diverse reef in the world,’ Brent said.

‘We don’t drop-ship and we don’t sell the dead stuff, ours is the purest on the market. That comes with a lot of difficulties. It is disheartening that people are s**tting on that.

‘I am not going to go against our quality to speed up the process.’

Brent then said delays were to be expected because of his unique business model and assured customers it was worth it to get the purest sea moss on the market.

He added his business was not a ‘cash grab’ but a labour of love, and asked people to stop making angry TikTok videos claiming they were ‘scammed’ by him.

The video has been viewed thousands of times since it was uploaded earlier this week, with the comments turned off.

Brent has been experiencing problems with the business since he launched it last year – Shortly after its launch, his brand got into hot water when furious customers alleged they were yet set to see their products after paying for them online.

Brent previously said there were issues distributing the sea moss internationally because it spoils after 30 days and they had to switch shipping companies to ensure faster delivery.

He previously claimed that his product has helped ‘thousands’ of people as he continues to praise his product and its alleged benefits amid the order issues.

Brent rose to fame on the ninth series of MAFS in 2022, where he was famously ‘married’ to Tamara Djordjevic.

Unfortunately, their ill-fated romance went from bad to worse on the show, before they went their separate ways during their explosive final vows.
