Sharp-eared Married At First Sight viewers have roasted the Channel Nine series after they heard a gross sound during Sunday night’s episode.
Relationship experts John Aiken, 54, and Alessandra Rampolla, 50, were chatting to Ryan Donnelly and Jacqui Burfoot when what seemed to be the sound of someone farting was heard.
‘You were very much a united front, a team. At some point, that team seemed to crumble down,’ Alessanda told the pair as someone appeared to pass wind in the background.
A shocked viewer later posted a clip to social media in which they shared their surprise at hearing the sound on TV.
‘Someone farting! We have replayed it three times to make sure it wasn’t one of us,’ they told their fans.
Many fans took to the comments section to express their surprise the blunder made it into the final cut.
‘Someone in the editing room is still laughing about doing this,’ one user quipped.
‘I heard it too, I thought I was going crazy!’ a second person added and a third chipped in: ‘Looked like it was Ryan’.
Attentive MAFS viewers have developed a reputation for spotting awkward editing fails which made it to air.
Over the weekend, fans noticed an awkward wardrobe blunder in which two grooms from different seasons were seen wearing the same jacket on air.
Controversial groom Ryan Donnelly, 36, from this year’s season recently attended a dinner party wearing an eye-catching floral patterned yellow and gold blazer.
However, fans have noticed series veteran Jayden Eynaud also wore the same blazer on the show last year, when he was paired with blonde bombshell Eden Harper.
Viewers took to social media to roast the grooms over wearing the same jacket over two consecutive years.
‘I can’t believe I have to see this again. I’m still recovering from the time Jayden wore it,’ one person wrote.
Meanwhile, Married At First Sight 2025 is set to be thrown into chaos as a real-life cheating scandal erupts.
Jacqui has moved on with intruder groom Clint Rice, who is set to walk down the aisle with his on-screen wife Lauren Hall in Tuesday night’s episode.
Daily Mail Australia can reveal that Jacqui, 29, has wasted no time ditching her TV husband Ryan and has already relocated to Tasmania to start a new life with Clint, 44, a former pro golfer turned successful businessman.
The scandal is said to have left Ryan blindsided, ruined Clint and Lauren’s yet-to-air wedding storyline, and thrown the entire season into disarray.
The first sign of Jacqui’s new romance emerged when she posted a cryptic Instagram update on December 2, teasing a ‘new chapter’.
Just days later, she was spotted getting cosy with Clint at a wildlife park in Tasmania.
While the couple are yet to be publicly spotted together, Jacqui and Clint’s relationship has escalated at lightning speed.
Jacqui has quit her job, packed up her life in Sydney, and moved into Clint’s luxury estate, which boasts a tennis court, golf simulator and home theatre.
Sine then, Jacqui has wasted no time teasing her new romance on her Instagram account.
An insider confirmed: ‘Jacqui and Clint have a natural chemistry. She’s empathetic, a great communicator, and driven – Clint is exactly the same.’
‘They share so many common interests – tennis, wineries, documentaries, even their love for dumplings. They’ve barely spent a night apart since filming wrapped.’
The couple are even planning to launch a business together, using Clint’s experience from selling a successful golf distribution company in 2023.
While Jacqui and Clint appear to be enjoying their new romance, Ryan was reportedly left completely blindsided at the reunion.
‘Ryan had no idea. He heard rumours, but seeing it unfold like this left him feeling betrayed,’ an insider told Daily Mail Australia
‘He considered Clint a mate—now he feels like they both lied to his face.’
Married At First Sight continues Monday at 7:30pm on Channel Nine.
