Married At First Sight descended into chaos on Tuesday night as cast members almost came to blows during an explosive fireside argument.
The drama continued on from Monday’s episode which saw bride Lauren Hall slam her ‘bogan’ cast mates before storming out.
After making a dramatic exit, Lauren was asked by a producer if she was okay.
‘Yeah, I’m just bored with these people, they’re just such losers,’ she said of her fellow cast members. ‘I don’t want to spend another minute with them.
‘This is the reason I wanted to leave. They are not my friends, I don’t care about them, I don’t care about what they have to say.’
Back inside, the remaining brides took to discussing Lauren’s behaviour with Beth Kelly declaring: ‘I just feel like she acts like the experiment is beneath her.’
Carina Mirabile then jumped in, telling producers the methods some brides were using to reach Lauren were perhaps not the best.
‘I’m a Switzerland. I want everyone to come together and be friends,’ she said.
‘But I think Awhina, Jamie and Beth wanted some answers—everyone wanted answers—but there’s ways to go about it.’
Her assessment did not go down well when she brought it up with her fellow brides.
‘No, no, it’s her response,’ Jamie replied when Carina suggested they had perhaps been ‘abrupt with Lauren’.
Empathising with Lauren, Carina said: ‘I’m just saying if i was in this position and all of the girls were saying their two cents I would feel attacked.’
Jamie took severe umbrage with this shooting back: ‘She was so rude to all of us, and to me. And f*** you all because I stand up for all of you.’
It was a sentiment Jamie reiterated to producers.
‘Excuse me? how are we even defending Lauren right now?
‘And why are we having empathy for this woman who just s**t on all of us? I’m literally raging,’ she said.
As the conversation continued to head south Carina and Rhi Disljenkovic decided to take their leave.
‘Rhi and Carina go follow her to comfort her. She’s been so rude to me. Why are we comforting her? I don’t appreciate Carina defending her,’ Jamie said before adding she would ‘let loose’ if the pair did not ‘stick up for her to Lauren’.
Rhi and Carina then spoke to Lauren outside, trying to play Devil’s Advocate for both sides.
Lauren was having none of it, replying with: ‘I would never be friends outside of here. They’re buffoons.’
As the chatter continued inside, Awhina revealed to the group Eliot told her Lauren had called the other wives ‘drunk bogans’, which triggered Jamie even more.
Rhi and Carina eventually convinced Lauren to return to the group and things quickly descended into chaos.
With Rhi playing moderator she pleaded for Lauren to ‘let her walls down’ in an attempt for the group to better understand her.
‘Being here is out of my comfort zone. I don’t have a connection with Clint. There is no spark, but I don’t feel like I need to share it with all of you,’ Lauren said.
‘I actually don’t want to talk to any of you right now.’
When pressed, Lauren revealed she specifically had no interest in getting to know Awhina and Jamie.
‘Watch your f***ing tone,’ Jamie said as she pointed her finger at her adversary before declaring to producers: ‘What a f***ing b***h.’
Things went from bad to worse later in the episode when the couples were gathered around the fire over a few drinks.
Jamie’s husband Dave Hand, slammed Lauren for being ‘disrespectful’ to his wife and the other brides, branding her behaviour as s**t.
The group were further shocked when Lauren’s beleaguered husband Clint revealed he backed his wife, despite her earlier comments.
As the back and forth continued between Jamie and Lauren, Jamie became visibly angry and began raising her voice.
When Clint asked her do ‘bring it down a bit’ Dave jumped in again to defend his wife.
‘Don’t tell her to bring it down, mate,’ he shot back. ‘She’s worked up because of the actions of your wife.’
Clint continued to badger Jamie telling her to ‘listen more and speak less’ which prompted Dave to stand threateningly and say: ‘Don’t speak to her like that, mate.’
When Jamie joined her husband Clint said: ‘Jamie, sit he f*** down.’
Clint’s comment drew the ire from the grooms in the group including Adrian Araouzou who said: ‘Bro, you cant be swearing at women, and you’re [Lauren] rude and arrogant. That’s it.’
Jamie then revealed she had been left devastated after being abandoned by Rhi and Carina in the confrontation.
A visibly upset Jamie then took herself and Dave away from the gathering, ending the confrontation. For now.
‘It’s so embarrassing,’ a tearful Jamie said to camera. ‘I’m so sick to death of it. I’ve done this too many times. I’m so sick of being the bad guy. Where is my defence?’
Married At First Sight continues Wednesday at 7.30pm on Channel Nine.
