Another Married At First Sight wedding got underway on Friday as things continue to heat up during filming for the upcoming 2025 season.

Lauren Hall, who has a connection with a former MAFS groom, looked every inch the blushing bride as she filmed her wedding scenes at The State Theatre in Sydney.

The Brisbane-based businesswoman couldn’t hide her excitement as she arrived at the iconic venue before laying eyes on her love match for the first time.

A handsome groom, whose identity has not yet been confirmed, was also seen entering the theatre as their season 12 love story kicked off.

Making her MAFS debut on her wedding day, Lauren cut a glamorous figure in a sophisticated white off-the-shoulder gown embellished with lace detailing.

She gave herself a few extra inches with a pair of strapped heels and fixed an extravagant beaded headband in her brunette locks to complete her look.

Meanwhile, her strapping groom cut a dapper figure in a black tuxedo for the special day, and fixed a red boutonniere into his lapel.

Passersby were seen avidly watching on as the camera crews tailed the pair while they walked into their wedding venue off the busy street.

Lauren was greeted by one of her friends, who appeared to be her bridesmaid, as she prepared to meet her groom for the first time.

Lauren is the CEO of Mayfair Lane Gifts, a small business which specialises in corporate gifts and merchandise.

Friends have described the bubbly brunette as ‘super fun and entertaining’ and say she is ‘really good at what she does’.

She already has a surprising connection to MAFS, having previously dated Jonathan McCullough, who was paired with Lauren Dunn on last year’s season of the Channel Nine experiment.

They broke up in January 2023 after dating for about three months and are believed to have ended on good terms after partying ways for being ‘too different’.

The pair first met almost a decade earlier and then connected after their friendship fizzled.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, a production insider claimed casting producers ‘had knowledge’ about Lauren’s link to Jono and asked her to wipe any traces of him from her social media pages.

‘Production were hoping to quietly sweep it under the rug, but word got around that she was appearing on the show and they knew each other,’ they said.

During his time on MAFS, Jono formed a connection with bride Ellie Dix after his romance with Lauren failed, and the pair are now in a relationship.

A string of other stars have also already been confirmed for the 2025 series of MAFS, including The Bachelor star Sierah Swepstone.

Jeff Gobbels, who has previously starred on Neighbours, is also joining the cast and was seen filming his wedding to Rhi Disljenkovic earlier this week.

However, the wedding got off to an unfortunate start as it was clear the pair already knew each other, going against the show’s famous concept that the couples marry upon ‘first sight’.

Pictures and videos of the big moment obtained by Daily Mail Australia showed Jeff’s stunned reaction upon seeing the Melbourne-based fitness blogger walk down the aisle.

Jeff, who looked suave in a black three-piece suit, immediately began laughing when he saw glamorous bride Rhi walking up to meet him.

As she reached the altar, Jeff said: ‘Hi Rhi,’ while the bride looked equally as stunned as she declared: ‘What the hell?’ sending the guests into fits of laughter.

Perth-based fitness coach Paul Antoine, who previously appeared on The Real Love Boat, is also making up the cast of the 2025 instalment of the reality TV show.

Also hoping to find love on the upcoming series are business owner Dave Hand, DJ Morena Farina and Perth-based wellbeing coordinator Jake Luik.

According to an insider, producers are hoping that the new cast will once again bring unparalleled drama to season 12 of the dating experiment.
