Sacha Jones has poked fun at her attention-grabbing hairdo from the Married At First Sight reunion episode last week, with a hilarious joke apology.

After almost three months, the Channel 4 dating show came to an end, with most of the contestants being reunited at one last explosive dinner party.

Former beauty pageant queen Sacha, 29, arrived alongside her then-husband Ross McCarthy, one of only two couples to have lasted until the end of the experiment.

But fans couldn’t help being distracted from the pair’s relationship, after the blonde beauty opted for a very eye-catching hairstyle.

Looking stunning in a figure-hugging sparkly lilac dress, with a daring thigh-high slit, Sacha wore her locks in tight and voluminous curls, pinned to one side.

But viewers were not enamoured by the look, taking to social media to admit they ‘couldn’t concentrate’ as her hair was giving them ‘sensory overload’, while playfully comparing the style to 18th century wigs, various animals and Dolly Parton.

They tweeted: ‘Lost for words at Sacha’s hair…; Sasha doing her best Dolly Parton impression with that hair; What is going on with Sasha’s hair?’

‘I like Sacha, but that hair! She looks like she needs dipping and shearing; Sacha’s hair in the preview is DIABOLICAL; who allowed Sascha to go on national TV with that wig?’

‘I can’t concentrate on this episode because of Sacha’s hair; I’ve let it go unchallenged for 2 episodes now but I’ve had enough, what has Sascha done to her hair?’

‘Whoever gave Sacha that perm should be in JAIL. Her hair looks fried; Sacha’s hair looks INSANE; Is anyone else scared and shocked by Sacha’s wig?!

‘Sasha’s hair be looking like a pile of wood shavings; Sacha gives me 90s exercise with that hair; Bloody hell what Munster hell did Sacha’s hair come from.’

‘Why didn’t Ross tell Sacha her hair looks like a poodle; She looks like a my little pony; Blimey!, Sacha had gone full on ‘Big fat gypsy wedding’ with that wig!’

‘There should be a helpline for when a friend shows up with hair like Sacha’s, like this is a sign of deep stress and turmoil, someone must help her; Sasha’s hair looks ridiculous, like babe what is this????’

‘Sacha’s hair is giving me sensory overload; I still don’t understand Sasha’s hair, its like some Dolly Parton Marie Antoinette fusion; why did no one tell sacha that hair looks crazy?’

But rather than letting the comments get to her, Sacha joined in on the joke, taking to her Instagram playfully beg for ‘forgiveness’ for her ‘mistake’ and admit she didn’t know what she was thinking.

Alongside several snaps from behind-the-scenes of the reunion, she wrote: ‘As the reunion episode airs tonight I want to remind you all that we all make mistakes and no one is perfect.

‘I know I will be judged and all I can do is deeply apologise in advance to viewers and ask for forgiveness… for that hair!!! No idea what I was thinking’.

Following the reunion it was revealed that despite immediately hitting it off after meeting for the first time at the alter, Sacha and Ross’ marriage quickly fell apart after cameras stopped rolling.

This week, Sacha opened up about her heartbreak in a new interview, as she credited her newfound faith for getting her through some ‘dark times’ after their split, explaining the only man in her life now is Jesus.

Speaking to OK! magazine, she said: ‘I found my new religion after the experiment. I’m a Christian now. I was always abstinent but now, after what’s happened, I don’t think I’ll have sex until marriage.’

And the blonde beauty credited her new found faith with supporting her following her and Ross’s split.

She also credited her fellow brides form the hit Channel 4 show with helping her, revealing that she feels closest to Holly Ditchfield who knows her ‘deepest, darkest secrets’

Discussing the friendship group she’s found, Sacha said she did find love in the experiment because of the friendships she’s formed.

But the blonde bombshell is not against dating again but has some very strict criteria.

She said: ‘They need to be Christian – which I know limits me even further! but I’m hoping I’ll find someone who will treat me right.’

And the beauty would still be open to the idea of another dating show – as long as it’s Christian but added that for the moment she is focusing on her faith.

The reality star is now working on spreading her faith through social media and building herself back up after having her heartbroken by her former husband.

Despite finding Christianity after her time on MAFS, the beautician was previously a practicing Wiccan.

During an interview on the podcast Premier Gospel she discussed her conversion from a witch to Christianity

She said: ‘At the time I was actually a Wiccan, so I was Pagan, with crystals and all of that.’ before revealing she had turned to being a witch to cope with a former partner cheating on her.

She then went on to describe how she found God through a dangerous situation.

She revealed: ‘I found myself in a position, which was very personal so I won’t share it, but a position where I was in a threatening sit, it was a very scary situation.

‘And I literally called on Jesus to help me and with in an instant it stopped, like miraculous.

‘And then after that I was like “right, get me to church”‘.

Elsewhere in her interview Sacha told the magazine that it may take some time to bounce back after her ‘dark’ relationship with the Manchester native but was grateful to have the support of her faith.

The kick-boxing fanatic revealed that she can’t think of a single happy memory from her time with Ross.

After a whirlwind romance, which included Ross relocating to Sacha’s hometown of Walsall and the blonde beauty learning sign language, the marriage fell apart.

The star revealed that Ross called things off between them with a brutal text in June and looking back, she believes she was dealing with unacceptable behaviour including throwing things and name calling.

She told the publication that she knew it was normal for couples to argue but said she started questioning Ross’s behaviour when he threw a kebab at the wall during filming.

She added that he would also call her names and some were so appalling they couldn’t even be aired,

She said: ‘He’s jump straight to the names. Some couldn’t be aired they were so bad. He once called me a “little f***ing sket”‘.

And things got worse after cameras stopped rolling.

The beauty queen also revealed that despite promising her and her parents that Ross would look after her and support her, no financial help materialised.

Sacha explained that she was forced to provide for the pair of them herself after Ross moved in with her.

According to the reality star, Ross didn’t contribute a penny to their finances and would even argue about paying for a jar of coffee.

But despite those difficulties, the final straw came when Ross would go to Manchester, switching off his phone for 24 hours and going AWOL.

The star chastised herself for not seeing the signs sooner and thinks she was ‘an idiot’ for accepting his ‘bizarre excuses’ and ‘love-bombing’.

She finally threw Ross out of her home, telling him to get help for his ‘anger issues’ before he brutally ended things with a cold text tat simply read: ‘We’re done, I’m ending it. Don’t text me again please, take care.’

And as hard as that was, it was seeing pictures of the Manchester decorator with his new girlfriend just three weeks later that broke her heart.

Ross confirmed his new relationship with Magdalena with a heartwarming video of himself and Magdalena enjoying a seaside outing.

Captioning the clip, he gushed: ‘The moment I been waiting for…. The real deal. My world.’

Moving on from the relationship Sacha sold her final vows gown – originally costing £1,500 – on Vinted for £800, describing it as ‘very good’ condition and perfect for a wedding or prom.

The aesthetics practitioner also revealed that the gown was also previously worn for a beauty pageant, rather than being especially made for her renewal with Ross.

The description for her listing reads: ‘White flower long dress. Ideal for a prom, pageant or wedding dress as it has a train. Band inside to cinch waist.

‘Custom made paid £1500 for it. Worn for a pageant and on MAFS final vows.’
