Following an explosive Married At First Sight UK finale, the reunion episode packed an even bigger punch as old feelings and feuds were re-ignited.

After almost three months, the Channel 4 dating show came to an end and the last four couples, Adam and Polly, Sacha and Ross, Amy and Luke and Nathan and Lacey made their final decisions.

But dramatically, only two couples decided to move things beyond the experiment while Amy brutally called her and Luke’s marriage ‘done, dead, deceased’ and Polly branded Adam a ‘liar’ in an explosive row.

And in the reunion episode, both tears and Prosecco were flowing freely as Adam restarted his feud with Polly.

Polly returned to the dinner party and was immediately greeted by the girls who asked her what the status of her relationship with Adam was, with Polly revealing she had attempted to reach out and had been rejected.

As the experts commented that Polly needed to let go, Adam entered and the pair started telling the other participants that things had turned sour.

Adam revealed that Polly had been attacking him on social media with cryptic posts, was sharing screenshots of his social media in group chats and had been insulting him online.

He said: ‘We spoke on text once but ended up bickering. She doesn’t stop talking about me and digging.

‘There’s been about five times in the group chat where I’m going “I have to leave”, she’s got a little vendetta against me. Just little comments about, “I could be peaceful if he was respectful”, but how am I disrespectful?

‘She’s been doing social media posts blatantly aimed at me – I’ve had to block her. I don’t want her to screenshot every time I post and send it to her mates.’

Polly tried to defend herself by suggesting the social media posts could be about other people, but when asked by Orson whether she had been with anyone since Adam, she refused to answer.

At the dinner table, the topic of cryptic social media posts was raised once more and led to an explosive row between the pair.

The expletive-laden exchange led to Polly throwing a glass of red wine over Adam, drenching his face and blue suit before she stormed off.

Adam shouted at her: ‘You’ve been putting Instagram posts about me, social media posts about me, digging me out in the group chats, my social media in the girls group chat. I haven’t b****ed about you.

Polly responded: ‘Are you f***ing joking, back off. Every time I’ve spoken to you, you treat me like a piece of s**t. You’d only listen if it was to your voice on record.’

Adam continued to shout at his former spouse: ‘Why are you b****ing about me, why are you b****ing about someone who doesn’t want you?’

He then revealed intimate details of his and Polly’s sex life to the group, telling the others that Polly begged him for sex.

He said: ‘You used to lie in bed and ask “why won’t you f**k me?”, you used to moan like a child.’

Following the revelation, Polly screamed at her ex husband before throwing the contents of her glass over him and storming off, re-entering the room to shout: ‘You’re a f***ing no good c***.’

While Polly and Adam’s outburst was shocking to the other couples, it didn’t cause as much of a scene as Hannah’s entrance with yet another groom.

The controversial bride had a difficult time throughout the show after she was rejected by her match Stephen.

She then went on to flirt with Orson before the two shared a kiss during a relaxing spa trip away with the group.

And during Thursday’s episode it was revealed that following their exit from the experiment, the two had gone on a date but Orson said there wasn’t anything there, and she didn’t ‘excite’ him.

But despite her flirtation with him, Hannah rocked up to the reunion with Ryan who had previously been married to Sionainn.

The pair refused to discuss whether they were together and told the other couples that they were just friends.

Hannah said: ‘I’ve made a really strong connection. We want to support each other and if people have an issue with that then that’s their problem.

‘This is the first time walking into this experiment with someone supportive.’

And the rest of the brides were left open-mouthed by the entrance with Holly commenting: ‘It’s giving carvery – what meats do you want? I’ll have all of them’.

Elsewhere Kristina and Keiran were forced to confront the way they had left their marriage which ended in tears for them both.

Kristina told her former husband through tears as they sat around the dinner table: ‘Being here and seeing you it has triggered how seriously I took the experiment and getting a husband and when I found out that someone had put in their application, that they wanted someone like me, it meant the f***ing world.

‘It’s f***ing s**t, I’m naive and a f***ing dreamer and I generally thought I was coming out of here with a husband. When you get that taken away from you it’s not easy and then hearing you have already dated it has baffled me and I just think “how serious were you actually about this process?”, because I gave you my f***ing all.

‘I genuinely don’t know because I’m f***ing gutted and I feel like it’s been f***ing wasted. Either we’re friends and you treat me as a friend or there’s no contact and you treat me as a memory.’

Before Keiran reassured her that he didn’t think the experience had been a waste of time for him, he added: ‘You’re one of the nicest girls I’ve ever met and I have a friend for life who I can cherish.’

Despite everything falling to pieces around them, there were some adorable moments in the episode.

Lacey and Nathan revealed that they had already discussed having children together, telling the group that they wanted some ‘bambinos’.

But Nathan stepped in to add that they were still taking ‘baby steps’.
