Married At First Sight UK fans were left appalled as Luke took a swipe at his wife Amy during Monday night’s episode.
Luke called her ‘bloated’ as she seethed in return: ‘I’m absolutely fuming, he’s calling me hideous!’ while they took part in the homestays part of the series.
This involves visiting both their loved ones and local areas to see how they fit into each other’s lives, with Amy taking her new husband home to Blackburn.
When Amy showed him around her childhood home Luke saw an old photo of her on the staircase.
He shockingly then said she looked ‘bloated’ in the picture from a trip to Ibiza and that she was ‘skinnier’ now.
‘I prefer you now, is this before the glow up?’ he asked, as she sarcastically said ‘thanks’.
He added: ‘You look stunning there, but you look stunning here more. You look skinnier now than in there.
‘You look skinnier now than in here. In here you look… bloated.’
She then told the cameras: ‘I’m absolutely fuming right now. Luke’s saying I basically look hideous in this photo.
‘Nothing’s changed I just had my teeth done. Bit of filler in my lip. That’s it. Glow up? Bloated?!’
Viewers were stunned at his comments as they penned on X (Twitter) after the episode aired: ‘Luke is 100% being petty now comments about her ‘pre glow up’, the mould in her room lmao.’,
‘Lol Amy and Luke need to call it a day.’,
‘How he communicates and how she receives said communication are polar opposites. They shouldn’t even finish the week together.’,
‘Luke just verbalizes every single thought he has. He needs to take a moment and think about what he’s about to say before he says it.’,
‘Brother, Luke, please, just stop. I mean, you’re hilarious but come on man, you’re not helping yourself.’
Also on the homestays episode viewers were left horrified by Luke’s ‘disgusting’ move to impress his wife Amy.
As the pair visited Amy’s mum’s home he was introduced to the family dog.
In excitement he suddenly got down on the floor and let the dog lick his face and mouth.
Fans were quick to react to his behaviour as they penned online: ‘Luke, I like you, but that dog behaviour is disgusting.’,
‘If someone was licking my dog like that I would be seriously concerned.’,
‘Does Luke fancy Amy’s dog or what? This licking is terrible.’
It comes after MAFS UK’s Kieran Champman broke down in tears as he made a heartbreaking admission to wife Kristina Goodsell during Wednesday night’s episode.
Kieran has struggled to get past how similar Kristina is to his exes – fearing for the future of their marriage.
And during a teary dinner party, Kieran admitted that he isn’t sure if he sees Kristina as a ‘friend’ now – and fans are now begging her to leave him.
Kieran brought dating expert Charlene Douglas and his co-stars to tears as they saw him cry into his arms.
He said: ‘I would say I’m not comparing Kristina to my ex, it’s hard to not realise ‘oh s***’ when you realising how similar they are.’
Kristina insisted: ‘Kieran, I am not your ex. I will move to Newcastle, I will make that work. I have fought from you from day one, we have that fire and electric between us and I don’t want to let that go.’
Kieran said: ‘There is no one in the world like you and I’ve never met anyone more apologetic than themselves. I know my head is all over the place at the minute and I know that because I do care about you.
‘You are bringing people’s smiles every where you go, I was sitting grinning and thinking this is my wife.’
‘I can obviously see this future with Kieran so it is really nice but so f****** difficult to hear’, Kristina added.
Kieran said: ‘I’m only getting emotional because I do really care about Kristina. At the minute I am in that grey area where I’m like “is this a friendship or is this more”.
‘And the only thing I can do is be honest with you. I am really really grateful and thankful for everything.
‘I know I’ll never meet another Kristina in my life but I need to know whether this is more than a friendship.’
Following the dramatic episode, fans were appalled by Kieran’s behaviour and begged Kristina to leave him.
