A MARRIED At First Sight groom has been rushed to hospital for emergency heart surgery.
Tony Mojanovski, from the most recent series of Married At First Sight Australia, has suffered a heart attack.
The 53-year-old TV star, who got married to Morena Farina on the hit show, was admitted to Wollongong Hospital on Thursday morning.
Tony was admitted to hospital after experiencing chest pains and had to undergo surgery.
But days later, Tony is now recovering and has even spoken out about his health scare and woes.
“Luckily I went straight to the doctors,” he told Daily Mail Australia in an exclusive chat.
He explained: “During the week I wasn’t feeling well.
“It has been happening for a long time.
” I was just feeling not right, like something was on my chest every now and then, giving me heartburn and stuff like that.”
He went on to say that he found the whole ordeal “pretty scary”.
Tony also spoke about how his health woes might be related to a family link to heart issues.
He explained how his mum “passed away from an aneurysm”.
Tony then candidly admitted smoking cigarettes and being stressed might not have helped his health.
“I was smoking, the cigarettes, the stress, being on the boat, partying – just too many things. It caught up with me, mate,” he told the outlet.
Planning on quitting the partying for a while, Tony admitted he needed “some time” without it.
“I just need some time without the partying,” he shared.
Tony’s Married At First Sight co-star Ryan Donnelly paid him a visit amid his hospital stay.
Taking to Instagram to share a glimpse from his visit, Ryan uploaded a video of him hugging Tony while he was in a hospital bed.
When Tony appeared on MAFSAU earlier this year, he married stunning bride Morena Farina.
On their wedding day, Tony and Morena seemed to connect well, and a spark seemed very apparent.
Although things seemingly went well between the pair for a couple of weeks, Tony shocked Morena when he revealed he wanted a younger partner.
Tony confessed that he wanted a younger wife so he could have children.
This confession further strained their relationship.
