Married at First Sight Australia’s Duncan James has announced a new career move away from reality TV with the launch of his cyber security business.

The star revealed on Instagram that he and his best friend of over two decades both quit their jobs to start up the new company, CyberAI, which aims to “empower Australia with real-time ai-native breach protection”.

“WE DID IT!! They say don’t go into business with your best friend, so… that’s exactly what we are doing,” Duncan wrote alongside a carousel of photos of him and his pal.

He continued: “After knowing each other for over 25 years, it’s safe to say we know how each other works. Our friendship started high school and we’ve now dived into starting our own cyber security business (CyberAI).

“It felt like one of those moments in time, when it was now or never. So we both quit our jobs and went all in.

“Full of energy, excited and pumped for what lies ahead. If you have questions about how to stay cyber safe online, let us know!”

Duncan appeared on MAFS season 10 last year, in which he was paired with Alyssa Barmonde but actually ended up forming a connection with Evelyn Ellis, who he began dating after the experiment ended.

The couple celebrated their one-year anniversary together in April, with Evelyn sharing the news on social media in response to comments suggesting that her and Duncan’s romance wasn’t genuine.

“We’ve already celebrated one year of our ‘fake relationship’,” she wrote alongside a crying laughing emoji, adding: “We had a boogie with our friends & just got back from travelling.”
