Domenica Calarco has revealed she had a minor ‘meltdown’ just one week after moving into her newly renovated farm property with her boyfriend Jarod Bogunovich.
The former reality star, 31, is gearing up to launch ‘her very first published anything,’ a self-help journal that she’s written and illustrated herself titled Improve Don’t Prove.
She shared a video to Instagram on Sunday explaining she had a ‘meltdown’ over the weekend after noticing her name was spelt incorrectly on the spine of her new book.
‘Where do I even start?’ Domenica said as she filmed herself sitting cross-legged in the grass outside her new New South Wales property.
‘So as you guys know I’m getting ready to launch my very first published anything,’ she began.
‘I’m really, really proud of this. As with anything in life, something didn’t go to plan. And of course that happened with my journal. The other day I went and picked up the printed copies, opened the box, and I was so excited I gave some out to all of my girlfriends.’
‘My girlfriend sends me a message and goes “I really hate to be the bearer of this news, but your name is spelt incorrectly”.’
‘And when I tell you that my heart dropped out, it did in that moment,’ Domenica said.
‘When the realisation dawned on me that my name was spelt incorrectly – as Domencia – and I had all of these copies sitting in boxes, of course, I had a meltdown.’
She said she plans to release the early print with the errors as ‘a very limited edition,’ to own the mistake of spelling her own name wrong in her first published work.
Domenica, who famously tied the knot on MAFS with Jack Millar in 2022, stepped away from the limelight earlier this year when she spent 21 days in a mental health ward.
She recently told Daily Mail Australia that ‘she has never been happier,’ thanks to her new romance with Sydney skater Jarod.
In October, the influencer announced she and Jarod were taking the next step in their relationship and moving into a barn house in NSW together.
Domenica and Jarod renovated the barn, with the aid of some corporate sponsors and mixed reviews online (about removing some original tiles), and moved in last month.
The ‘loud and brash’ MAFS star was living and working in Sydney as a make up artist and beauty influencer when she starred on Australia’s ratings-juggernaut of a reality dating show.
Domenica first met Bondi man Jarod, on Bumble in 2021 and went on a date with him, before she was cast on MAFS.
The timing wasn’t quite right, she said, and they went their separate ways.
Then they bumped into one another at a boxing gym Pad Flow in Sydney, and reconnected three years later.
The brunette beauty found fame on season nine of MAFS where fellow TV bride Olivia Frazier leaked her OnlyFans account to the other cast members in an attempt to embarrass her.
Domenica later revealed that she had opened the account in 2021, amid the pandemic, because she was cash-strapped after her divorce and couldn’t afford to buy herself a fridge.
She re-launched her OnlyFans account in 2022 and said thanks to the unfortunate notoriety she garnered on the TV show, she soon earned enough to put down a house deposit.
