Meet Michael’s new match!

In PEOPLE’s exclusive sneak peek at this week’s episode of Married at First Sight, Chloe, a new potential partner for Michael, discusses why she is interested in taking part in the social experiment.

“If you asked me in my early 20s what I wanted in a man, what I wanted then and what I want now are two completely different things,” the 39-year-old Senior Director of Development shares. “I have an opportunity to do something I’ve never imagined in my life doing ever, really thinking about being married at first sight!”

“Oh my god! Really?” her pal Cesar responds.

“I’m that person that for my whole life, I wanted to exude this very specific image of being super successful and super capable and able to take on the world and didn’t need anybody,” she continues. “I think that’s why I ended up being in the relationships with the men that I was in because they were perfect on paper.”

Cesar shares that Chloe is “always in control of everything” in her life but she will now have “zero control.”

“I just think that now, to be at this place, it just makes sense,” she explains. “And if it all comes to fruition, I feel like we’re gonna have one heck of a story when we’re 90 looking back on our lives.”

Dr. Pepper Schwartz, a sociologist on the show, then joins the group and shares, “I am an expert in Married at First Sight and I’m here with good news.”

Before she can reveal the news, Chloe responds, “I’m gonna throw up.”

Chloe joins the show after Michael was left at the altar by his mystery bride earlier this season.

“You know, wedding day comes around and she comes down, she pauses for a moment and then essentially states that she doesn’t want to marry a stranger,” he explained to his MAFS costars on a previous episode.

On last week’s episode, Schwartz asked Michael if he is open to taking “another chance” on love.

He responded, “You know, you emotionally and mentally tune yourself for this and I discovered things about myself that I didn’t realize in the moment like I knew I was ready for marriage, but I didn’t know I was that ready. So to answer your question, I would 100% do this again.”

Married At First Sight (produced by Kinetic Content) airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Lifetime. Married At First Sight: AfterParty airs at 10 p.m. ET.
