Mafs Intruder Bride Beth Kelly Breaks Her Silence On Groom Teejay Halkias’ Colourful Past: ‘I Know Everything’

Married At First Sight Australia intruder bride Beth Kelly has revealed she already knew about her groom Teejay Halkias’ reality TV past before she even walked down the aisle.

‘I actually found that out the day of the wedding,’ the glamorous bride, 28, told Daily Mail Australia on Tuesday.

‘I had been sent some articles about him, and obviously, I’d seen it in the media that he’d been on Big Brother before.’

Beth confessed that the revelation, along with other bombshells on the day, left her overwhelmed.

‘It was a lot to process, to be honest. I’d only just met the guy, and suddenly, I was being hit with all this information — his past TV stint, the fact he’d slept with a lot of women, and then the whole Jamie situation,’ she said.

One of the biggest scandals on the night was discovering that fellow bride Jamie Marinos had a past with her husband.

Despite the unexpected news, Beth said she put it to the side to focus on her wedding day.

‘I just had to move on and not let it ruin things. At the end of the day, I was here for the experience, and I wanted to give this marriage a real go.’

While Beth was excited to meet Teejay, her big day was overshadowed by drama, thanks to fellow bride Jacqui Burfoot, who caused a scene during the ceremony.

‘Honestly, it was just typical Jacqui—making it all about her, as per usual,’ she said.

Beth, who quickly became a fan favourite for her no-nonsense attitude, didn’t hold back, calling out Jacqui at the time with her now-iconic ‘get a grip, sweetie’ remark.

‘Fake crying, all that drama… I just don’t think it was the time or place. She really should have kept her mess out of our wedding because it hijacked the day a little bit,’ she added.

Reflecting on the chaos, Beth admitted she had a moment where she questioned what she’d signed up for.

‘Watching people get up, Jacqui storming around the place, crying… I was like, “what the hell have I gotten myself into?” It was like sitting at a dinner party — on my wedding day!’

Instant chemistry with Teejay

Despite the wedding day madness, Beth said she was relieved when she finally locked eyes with her groom.

‘Obviously, we all hope that the person at the end of the aisle is attractive,’ she laughed.

‘But when I saw him, I just got a really good feeling. All my nerves disappeared.’

Beth revealed her biggest fear going into MAFS was not feeling a connection with her match, but Teejay instantly put her at ease.

‘As soon as I started walking down the aisle, I felt calm. He just made me feel really comfortable.’

Life as an intruder: ‘Nothing could have prepared me for that drama’

Coming in as an intruder meant Beth already knew a lot about the other couples from watching the season play out in the media before she arrived.

‘People do a really good job at finding out who the cast members are,’ she admitted.

‘So before I’d even walked in, I knew who was who, and who was paired with each other.’

Even with this knowledge, she said nothing could have prepared her for the drama that unfolded on her wedding day.

‘I was expecting a little bit of tension, but I did not expect the level of chaos that actually happened,’ she said.

Despite being thrown into the deep end, Beth said she actually enjoyed being an intruder.

‘For the most part, I actually really liked coming in late. Fashionably late, babe!’

Sassy and unfiltered: ‘I speak my mind’

Beth has already made waves for her quick-witted comebacks, and she promises there’s plenty more to come.

‘You can expect more sassy comments because I just can’t help myself,’ she laughed.

‘If something’s bothering me, I can’t sit on it — I have to say something.’

And when asked who the biggest troublemaker in the group was, Beth didn’t hesitate.

‘The biggest pot stirrer? Adrian. He just loves to throw his little comments out there and get a reaction,’ she dished.

As for Jacqui, Beth said she wasn’t necessarily a troublemaker — just lacking in self-awareness.

‘I don’t think she’s a bad person, but she just needs to watch the season back and take a few notes. Maybe have a little nap, reflect on her behaviour, and realise how she makes people feel.’

Beth said she and Teejay made the most of their honeymoon, using the time to strengthen their connection.

‘We worked on our tans, ate good food, and really got to know each other before jumping into the experiment.’

And while cameras following her every move was a major adjustment, Beth admitted she eventually forgot they were there.

‘At first, it was weird having cameras in my face, but after a week or two, it just felt normal. That’s probably why so many people slip up—you actually forget you’re being watched!’

As for what’s still to come, Beth teased that the drama is far from over.

‘There’s a lot more good stuff to come, so stay tuned!’
