Married At First Sight’s Bryce Ruthven has revealed his and wife Melissa Rawson’s potential plans to move their young family overseas.

In an Instagram Q&A with fans, Bryce opened up about his career, a possible relocation to Thailand as well what it’s like parenting their twin boys Levi and Tate.

Bryce explained that while he’s still working full time in radio he recently resigned from his job and has just a few weeks left.

“I’ve fortunately been offered four different opportunities recently so have just spent the past few weeks working out what’s best for us as a family with what I do next!” he wrote.

With Bryce pondering a few job opportunities, he revealed that he and his young Melbourne-based family “were literally an email reply away from relocation to regional Victoria a few weeks ago”.

“It’s still a possibility should we decide to for a work opportunity I have been offered.”

Bryce and Melissa are “very open to moving away from Melbourne” with their two-year-old sons.

“I’d ideally love to move somewhere warm, or overseas for a new experience before the twins hit the age of starting school,” Bryce said.

In May 2024, Bryce and Melissa travelled to Thailand for a belated honeymoon and appear to have enjoyed their time so much that they’re considering an overseas move there.

“We have been exploring the option of relocation to Thailand we loved it that much… and there is potential for me to work in radio there too so we will see what happens over the next few months,” Bryce revealed.

He also opened up on life parenting their boys Levi and Tate including how he manages to tell the twins apart.

“For me I can tell their difference aesthetically, but mainly from their personalities as well,” he said.

“They love anything that keeps them active… a lot of jumping and kicking a footy.”

The couple’s news comes after Melissa spoke candidly about the matter of parents having to choose between their career or their family.

Melissa, 35, is a “stay at home mum” to Levi and Tate but she admitted it wasn’t a decision that was easy to make.

“I actually didn’t choose or want to be a SAHM [stay at home mum],” Liss explained under a video she posted in June 2024.

“I had to make a choice because I couldn’t commit to ‘standard working hours’ every day in an office an hour away from home.

“A father has a choice too, to be a SAHD [stay at home dad] or to work. As does a mother.

“It’s a partnership. Some partnerships are still tethered to old school ways.”
