Jake Cornish broke his silence as he prepares to come face to face with his ex Liberty Poole on Love Island All Stars.

The reality star appeared on the seventh series of the hit dating show and is now hoping for a second chance at love despite his ex-girlfriend being in the same villa.

The former couple quit the ITV2 show in 2021 just days before the final after Liberty, 24, realised Jake, 26, wasn’t the one.

The pair were coupled up from day one and seemed to be growing stronger but Jake hinted that he wasn’t attracted to the blonde beauty anymore towards the end of the series.

Taking matters into her own hands, Liberty decided to leave the villa single.

Jake later said she gave him the ‘ick’ because their sleeping area was left messy causing tension between the pair.

Three years later and the former couple are set to appear on Love Island together again and Jake has insisted that their is ‘no bad blood’ between them.

Speaking to ITV, he said: ‘We never ended with any bad blood between us and everything happens for a reason.

‘We just become two different people in the end.’

Meanwhile it was revealed earlier on Monday that Liberty has ‘no idea’ that Jake is heading into the All Stars villa.

A source told The Sun: ‘Liberty and Jake haven’t spoken since the split and she’s avoided ever having to come face to face at celeb parties – so she’ll be horrified when she realises she has to live with him for the next few weeks.

‘It’s going to be really awkward for her.’

This will be the third time Liberty will be looking for love on Love Island after she also competed on The Games which was filmed last year.

They are not the only exes set to reunite as Toby Aromolaran and Kaz Kamwi – who were a couple on the show in 2021 before he moved on with Chloe Burrows – are both returning to Love Island for a second chance at love.

Other show legends heading back to the iconic Love Island villa include Georgia Harrison – who has her eye on Barbie star Chris Taylor, Hannah Elizabeth, Demi Jones and Luis Morrison.

It comes after Love Island fans have been left ‘disappointed’ by the line-up for the brand new All Stars show.

The full cast for the first ever All Stars series was finally confirmed on Friday.

And fans were left fuming after the full cast was revealed ahead of its January 15 launch date and complained that the line-up was ‘boring’ and ‘disappointing’.
