Love Island Fans ‘Calling Ofcom’ As They Accuse Show Of ‘Borderline Bullying’ Star

LOVE Island fans have accused the show of “borderline bullying” one of the islanders, as voting gets underway for his year’s Grafties.

Introduced last year, The Grafties is an awards segment featured in the ITV2 show which has been voted for by viewers at home.

The islanders will get to see all the nominees for categories including ‘Unfinished Business’ and ‘Epic Fail’ before the results are revealed.

But after voting got going on Love Island’s Instagram account, some fans had a problem with how many times Mimii Ngulube features.

During The Grafties, clips will be shown to the villa of Mimii kissing and cuddling Josh in the pool for the ‘It’s Giving One-Sided’ award. Josh is the nominee.

She is then seen flirting with Ayo Odukoya in the Unfinished Business category, while she also receives a nomination for Epic Fail.

The fail shows a mortifying clip of Mimii sneaking onto the terrace for a secret chat with Ayo before being told by Joey Essex that he is refusing to go up.

Fans have been left seriously disgruntled by the nominations, as they believe Ayo has escaped being exposed for his “manipulative” behaviour towards Mimii.

Writing on X, one tagged in television watchdog Ofcom and asked: “@LoveIsland where are all these clips of Ayo for the grafties nominations you guys clearly have an agenda with Mimi because up until now you’ve barley shown the girl! Let’s not play this game! @ofcom.”

They posted their comment alongside a montage of clips of Ayo telling Mimii that he still has feelings for her.

Another fan added: “It’s not right that. @LoveIsland hasn’t included any of Ayo or Sean’s clips. This is borderline bullying. @Ofcom.”

Sharing their complaint on the official Love Island Instagram account, another raged: “It’s actually VERY unfair how you’ve clearly set Mimii up in certain categories but protected Ayo at the same time by leaving out certain things he done and said!!!”

And someone else wrote: “Is it only me that is concerned about Mimii’s mental health, the producers have left out so many things Ayo have done and it’s so unfair. I hope Mimii will be okay in the end, we need to be kind ❤️.”

Ayo, who is coupled up with Jessica Spencer, has been branded ‘the real villain’ following his recent behaviour towards Mimii.

It comes after he blew her out again when she tried to speak to him on the terrace on Wednesday night.

Ayo rejected Mimii for a second time and told her he is happy with Jessica, however he still didn’t make his feelings crystal clear.

He told Mimii: “I feel like the last conversation we had was to say we’re going to leave what was and was going on and continue what we’ve got going on. I thought that was understood by both of us.

“I don’t want there to be confusion with what’s going on right now. As long as you understand what I’ve been telling you and no miscommunication.

“Me and Jessica, I’m not going to sit here and lie to you, but things are going so well. I swear I’m probably going to have to leave this one.”

After their talk, Ayo told Ciaran that he didn’t think Mimii had fully understood that he wanted to end their connection.
