Lisa Vanderpump recently opened up about the upcoming 12th season of Vanderpump Rules, sharing her thoughts on Ariana Madix‘s potential return.
While also addressing reports of the cast removing the show from their social media bios and commenting on Jax Taylor‘s separation from Brittany Cartwright, 35, Lisa, 63, spoke of Pump Rules‘ film hiatus, revealed the last time she spoke to Paul “PK” Kemsley, 56, and shared her thoughts on making a guest appearance on The Real Housewives of New York City.
“It’s on a hiatus, so just a little later this year,” Lisa said of Pump Rules during a May 14 interview with Access Hollywood. “I’m opening another restaurant in September, so I’m full steam on that. Ariana’s going back on Broadway for a little bit.”
While there have been rumors that Ariana, 38, will not be back for season 12, Lisa said, “I don’t know yet,” as she also reacted to Ariana’s refusal to sit down for a chat with Tom Sandoval, 41, which many of their castmates were unhappy about.
“I think sometimes in a relationship you can call it a day if something really hurts you and you just don’t understand that person anymore and you feel that connection is broken,” Lisa reasoned.
In regard to the cast removing the show from their bios, she set the record straight.
“That’s not true. They said everybody did [but] I spoke to Tom Schwartz this morning, and he said, ‘It was never in my bio,’” she explained.
Moving on to Jax, 44, and Brittany, who confirmed their separation in February, Lisa said the split was upsetting because the couple shares a 3-year-old son Cruz.
“I think when children are involved, it’s sad, it’s unfortunate. I think a lot of people were naysayers about the wedding anyway, to Jax, because he can be a naughty boy but I think she genuinely loved him,” Lisa noted. “I witnessed it but life’s difficult. You get two imperfect people trying to make a perfect relationship and that’s never easy.”
Lisa was also asked about PK’s split from Dorit Kemsley, 47.
“I haven’t spoken to PK since I was on [RHOBH] so that’s quite a long time ago,” she revealed. “How could we [stay close]? I remember him saying, ‘If Lisa says it’s true, it’s good enough for me because I’ve known her years’ and Dorit saying, ‘No.’ And I think somebody has to back up their wife.”
As for a potential cameo on RHONY, Lisa admitted to having deep ties to Brynn Whitfield, 36.
“I gave her a job, I gave her a car, we kind of helped her out a little bit when she was younger and she was in LA and she’s always been a little kind of a cookie,” she recalled, noting that Brynn likely makes a “great housewife” due to her “unique personality.”
“I don’t know what my future is with her. I don’t know how close she is with Pandora but certainly, when they were younger, we saw a lot of Brynn,” she added.
