Lala Kent reacted to Bravo fans’ intense response to the network’s shows on her podcast on Monday.
While also discussing her love for Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Lisa Rinna and commenting on fans’ comparisons between the two of them, the 33-year-old Vanderpump Rules star offered some advice to Bravo viewers.
“Let me tell you something about Lisa Rinna: I’m obsessed with her. I dig her. A lot of people in the Bravo community come for her — a lot — still to this day. Wild. I’m like, ‘Y’all hold a grudge.’ You gotta let it go. You don’t know this woman,” Lala explained on the July 8 episode of Give Them Lala.
According to Lala, she’s “still confused” about why fans took such issue with Lisa during her final season on RHOBH, but she suspects it had something to do with Lisa “trying to pit sisters [Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton] against each other.” As fans will recall, Lisa accused Kathy, 65, of berating Kyle, 55, during a meltdown and threatening to destroy her family.
“I’m like, ‘B*tch. We’re making TV. You’re welcome,’” Lala said in response. “I only see negativity about her in the Bravo universe. Outside of it, you get out of the vortex of what is the Bravo bubble. The articles, I mean, she was at Vogue World. She’s f*cking killing it. Every article outside of the vortex is like, since leaving Housewives, Lisa Rinna completely catapulted into like, actual Hollywood. Her daughter [Amelia Hamlin] won [Model] of the Year. She’s killing it … She’s thriving.”
Of the sometimes unruly fans, Lala said that the Bravo universe has “got to calm down.”
“It’s a lot,” she admitted. “And I’ve never been on the other side of it. I’ve been on the side of like, people may not dig me, but there’s a lot of people who do dig me. Now, I’m on the side of it where it’s not like I went out and gave some absurd political view. It’s not like you saw me doing something horrific in an elevator. Like, I literally asked a question, questions to someone who got cheated on. Period. And you would think I murdered a litter of puppies the way the Bravo vortex has just f*cking turned.”
During the 11th season of Pump Rules, Lala caught flack from viewers due to her treatment of Ariana Madix, 38, following Tom Sandoval‘s affair with Rachel “Raquel” Leviss, 29. After shading Ariana for refusing to film with Tom, 42, and accusing her of not being real with the cameras, Lala said people accused her of “becoming Lisa Rinna.”
“Compliment. Thank you,” Lala replied. “I loved her on Housewives. I still love her now.”
Vanderpump Rules season 12 is expected to begin filming sometime later this year.
