Kyle Richards Reveals Entire RHOBH Cast Almost Quit After Infamous Amsterdam Scene

I think every Real Housewives fan remembers that infamous cast trip to Amsterdam. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills hit the city like a hurricane, most notably during one dinner.

During their meal, the now-defunct Bravo star Lisa Rinna came after castmate Kim Richards. The two ended up sparring, with Kim threatening to bring up Rinna’s husband, Harry Hamlin. Rinna then lunged for Kim, lost her mind, and smashed a wine glass.

It was a shocking moment for sure. One that Kim’s sister and fellow castmate, Kyle Richards, won’t soon forget.

“We’re all done now”

In fact, the whole thing was such a big deal, Kyle is now revealing that the whole RHOBH cast almost quit. Kyle told Bustle, “It was just a disastrous trip. I think everybody quit that night. The producers were freaking out — we were like, ‘We’re all done now.’”

Oh, please! As if Kyle would give up this gig simply because Rinna went too far. And we know this because Rinna has gone too far about 100 times since that moment and Kyle has never done anything about it.

Despite her being no stranger to cast trip drama, Kyle noted that she was caught off guard by the whole thing. She explained of their getaways, “[Every time] I’m very naive, thinking, ‘Maybe this time we’re just going to have fun.’”

The Amsterdam aftermath

For her part, Rinna spoke candidly about her behavior back in 2015. She shared, “I was feeling terribly vulnerable, confused, and shocked. I compartmentalized everything that I was feeling in order to get through the trip in one piece. The last thing I needed was to be locked up abroad.”

We also saw Rinna take a more conciliatory approach with Kim later on in the trip. When she told Kim that she loved her, Rinna explained, “In that particular moment, I felt empathetic towards a fragile Kim Richards sitting in front of me, and I just felt those were the words she needed to hear at that time.”

She concluded, “It’s what felt right, and it’s what needed to be said in that very moment.”

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills continues on Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
