Jo Wenberg revealed if she’s still in contact with her ex Tom Schwartz, who’s newly single, and hinted that people were “in his ear” during their past relationship. Meanwhile, Tom himself addressed his single status, the one “void” in his life, and his advice to the new cast of Vanderpump Rules.
After the latest season, Jo claimed that Tom asked her to keep their romance a secret from the cameras. Since their split, Jo has posted video highlights of their relationship, and many fans think she wants to reconcile.
“Somebody asked me, ‘Did you see that Tom is single?’” said Jo on Instagram, via @Pumprules on TikTok. “And then I got a lot of the questions that were like, ‘Do you and Tom … still talk?’”
“We don’t,” Jo answered. “But I think people come into your life for a reason, a season, and a lifetime, and I also think that — well, I’ll be very blunt — I think that there were people that were in his ear.”
According to Jo, she and Tom were once “happy” together.
“And then, I guess, being in the industry for so long, you know, you kind of get into this warped world where you kind of back off from something that’s happy, and then you don’t really work through things,” she continued. “I’ll never have an answer because he’s blocked me … but I hope you guys definitely do see how happy we were. And it’s still hard for me.”
In an interview for ET, Tom addressed his single status.
“I feel more confident than I’ve ever felt in my life,” he said. Then, a reporter asked about a rumor that he’s seeing someone new.
“No, I don’t have a lady,” he answered. “I’m just keeping a low profile right now. But I’m happy, I’m peaceful … I’m not dating anyone. I’m just hanging out.”
Tom suggested that the one “void” in his life is “not having a family.”
“I know I’m not getting any younger,” he said. “But I have my brother [who] just moved out here. I’ve been helping out my mom, my dad. I feel more connected with my family than I’ve ever been in my whole life. And that’s bringing me a lot of fulfillment, just helping them out. Things feel good right now … It was a little stagnant for a while there, bleak.”
He then revealed his advice to the new cast of Pump Rules.
“They [asked me], ‘Can you give us some advice at TomTom?’” he recalled, addressing his bar. “I got them a shot in a drink and I just told them, ‘You guys, just don’t try to come in and put on a performance. Don’t create a character in your mind, which I’ve been guilty of in the past early seasons … or create monologues and come on with, like, a scripted version of yourself. Just be raw, let loose.’”
