The fallout from Jack and Nikki’s wild night way off the wagon continued to reverberate throughout Genoa City on the Monday, May 6, 2024 episode. It could mean major marriage trouble for at least two couples, too.

On The Rocks

While Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) downed her alcohol and Jack (Peter Bergman) joined her, neither thought much of how their actions would affect Victor (Eric Braeden) and Diane (Susan Walters), respectively. It’s not at all surprising that Diane (Susan Walters) read Jack the riot act.

She was absolutely right in telling Jack how selfish his actions had been. It was stupid for Jack to risk his sobriety for Nikki…or anyone, for that matter. Diane wondered if Jack had thought of her at all, and it was clear that he really hadn’t. What does that mean for Jack and Diane? Certainly, his relationship with Nikki is putting a strain on their marriage, and we can see this being the thing that pushes Diane over the edge and back into her scheming ways.

Meanwhile, Victor was furious, but he pointed his anger at Jack. Nick (Joshua Morrow) was surprised to see Victor home after taking Nikki to rehab, and so were we. As they talked, Nick tried to talk some sense into his dad, but Victor wouldn’t ease up. Of course, the person Victor is truly angry with is locked in his basement. Jordan (Colleen Zenk) begged for mercy, but all Victor gave her was a jug of vodka.

How will Nikki feel when she finds out Victor has lied to her…again? Also, will Victor even consider working through his feelings on Nikki checking out of her life and into a bottle? Sure, it all started with Jordan’s evil plan, but Nikki has consistently cut Victor out of her life since then, which goes to show that their marriage isn’t as strong as they’d like it to be. Add Victor’s constant lies, and that’s a recipe for disaster.

Both of these marriages seem to be at risk. Do you think they’ll survive?
