Martha Kalifatidis has sent her fans into a frenzy by announcing that she wants be married to fiancé Michael Brunelli in a matter of weeks.
In a sneak peak at her new podcast with Michael and her mum, Mary, called The Morning Roast, Martha said she wanted to just get the marriage over with.
The make up artist, 36, who has been engaged to Michael for three years after they met on Married At First Sight, caused an uproar by saying she wanted ‘a shotgun wedding’.
A shotgun wedding usually refers to a marriage ceremony where the bride is already pregnant – but can mean a rushed marriage for other reasons too.
‘I feel like I just want to have a shotgun wedding, and get married in November, this year. I just want to get it done’ she said.
‘I would actually love to have a wedding at home. What do you think about doing a wedding in November if we quickly organise it?’ she asked.
Michael replied: ‘I am down for just the easiest thing’ and Martha said they could just ‘host a lunch’.
Fans were confused, with one asking in the comments: ‘Doesn’t shotgun wedding mean the bride is pregnant??’
Most were overwhelmingly supportive, telling Martha she will not regret hosting something intimate over a fairytale wedding.
The mother-of-one, who shares her young son, Lucius, with Michael, said she wants to expand her family.
‘I would love to have more kids. I think I’m ready for another but I love having this time with Looch,’ she wrote online.
‘Maybe you can advise me. Take my time or just get it done?’ she asked her fans.
Martha and Michael first met on the 2019 season of the Channel Nine dating show, and their journey has been closely followed by fans ever since.
The couple welcomed their first child together in February 2023 and frequently give fans an insight into their family life with their son Lucius, 19 months.
It comes as Martha and Michael have excited fans with a big new career move.
The MAFS power couple took to Instagram to announce they are starting a brand new family podcast with Martha’s beloved mother Mary.
Martha and Michael recently went viral for their hilarious TikTok videos with Mary, who became the unexpected star with her quick wit and savage one-liners.
Their series of kitchen videos left their followers demanding the trio get their own reality TV show, and they have now followed through on their fans’ wishes.
They set up a new Instagram page, aptly called The Morning Roast, and asked fans to ‘watch this space’ for upcoming episodes.
On the new Instagram page’s Stories, they urged their fans to ask them questions, insisting ‘nothing is off-limits’ as they hinted at some more unfiltered chats to come.
