On the February 20 episode of The Young and the Restless, Ashley broke into Tucker’s room, and she said she wanted to smooth things over with Tucker. The day before, she yelled at the voices in her head to stop. She’s had a sudden change of attitude, and this may be why.

Ashley (Eileen Davidson) basically did an about-face with Tucker (Trevor St. John). She admitted that Tucker hadn’t been violent in Paris, but he seemed skeptical. Ashley explained she wanted to let go of all her rage on confusion, and she explained that her fender-bender gave her some clarity. Tucker didn’t buy it. He felt she was either forcing herself to say what she did, or she was sitting him up. However, what if he was wrong?
We think, perhaps, though, that we know what’s going on with Ashley. Those voices could mean that she’s dealing with a split personality. On Monday, she told herself to take control of the situation, which could’ve been her other personality coming forward.
Ashley has a history of mental illness. She certainly sounded so calm and reasonable when she spoke with Tucker. Ashley said she didn’t want to feel the pain and anger anymore. She asked Tucker to try again, giving him some time to think about it, but again, Tucker didn’t bite.

Certainly, Ashley could’ve developed some type of plan to get back at Tucker, but we think it’s something different than that. She was so clearly acting differently. Sure, Ashley seemed calm and reasonable, but it was an abrupt change from her recent behavior. We suspect her altered personality is protecting her from the pain and confusion she’d been feeling.
