Sister Wives star Kody Brown has gone through big changes in recent years. Things quickly went south when the former polygamy family moved to Flagstaff. They struggled with the patriarch’s limited visits, which ultimately led to three of his wives leaving. Recently, some fans revisited a clip from an old episode showing a different version of the 54-year-old father.
Sister Wives: Kody Brown Still Trying To Reconnect Despite Family Dispute
Kody has made some Sister Wives fans curious regarding his efforts for his kids. He’s been silent on social media for years, and barely shares updates on his Cameo. However, he was spotted multiple times making efforts for his children despite his complicated relationships with their mothers.
Back in May, the father-of-18 attended Savanah’s graduation. Some fans also commend him for being there at Gwendlyn’s wedding this month. An insider claimed he and Christine are “in talks” for more visits to Truely. It’s also reported that he’s been talking to his youngest daughter on the phone, but it seems he’s not satisfied with their limited time with each other.
Fans React To Kody’s Old Clip
Sister Wives fans from Reddit shared their thoughts on an old clip of Kody riding a mechanical bull. Some of his kids watched and cheered for him. He fell quickly and explained that he felt tired riding the machine. However, some fans were quick to notice how happy and easy-going he was back then. According to them, they felt sad watching him turn into an angry and unhappy person in recent seasons. One commenter said:
“He’s a totally different person here. It’s crazy the difference in his appearance. Even though he’s full of *hit here he looks happy and go lucky. But now he just looks pissed and unhappy all the time.” Others agreed.

Sister Wives: Kody Brown’s Enthusiasm Regarding His Coyote Pass Plans
Aside from his fun bonding time with his kids years ago, Kody has also shown excitement regarding his Coyote Pass plans. He was supposed to build a massive house for his four families, which was later changed into a cul-de-sac similar to what they had in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, he came up short with his planning, and the property remains empty today.
Janelle reportedly paid off some plots in the Coyote Pass land with her ex-husband earlier this year. Though it’s unclear what they’re planning to do, especially now that Kody is only left with one wife in Flagstaff.
The struggling ex-polygamy family is set to return to TLC on August 20, 2023.
