E4 Married At First Sight Uk Fans All Issue The Same Complaint Over New Series Before It’S Even Started

Married at First Sight UK has promised to make an explosive return to screens on the debut of its ninth series on Monday, September 16.

The relationship experts, Paul C. Brunson, Melanie Schilling, and Charlene Douglas, are set to coach and guide a fresh batch of faces looking to find love in the E4 reality experiment, as they meet for the first time at the altar.

Married at First Sight first hit TV screens in 2015 and for the first five series the couples were legally married. However, over recent years it has become a global phenomenon, also amassing viewers across Australia and with shows in both New Zealand and the US.

The new series already looks like it could be full of drama and chaos, as the streaming giant released a teaser clip showing one of the couples. Groom Kieran ended up leaving his bride-to-be in tears over his questionably-timed prank to stick in a set of rotten false teeth.

But following the announcement of the 2024 MAFS UK cast, not all fans have been impressed. Many viewers took to social media to share their disappointment with the line- up, claiming people appear to be signing up for ‘fame not love’.

“I’d love to see genuine real people of all ages and shapes on MAFS. Show has gone downhill full of fame hungry vacuous attention seekers so up their own a***s it’s as fake as the people on it who have applied for every show there is. It’s lost its way for me,” fumed one viewer.

Another fan wrote: “Totally agree. Hate seeing so many of the participants in ads while the show is still on. That says it all for me – they’re there for fame as much TV time as possible.”

“Can’t blame them though – it’s the ‘experts and production team making this happen,” chimed in another fan, as someone else added: “Totally agree with you. Contrived and fake.”

A fifth voiced: “Totally agree give us lovely down to earth people who have not been on TV before!,” as another wrote, “It’s not a experiment about finding love anymore. It’s just another edited and scripted reality show.”

The full cast for Married at First Sight UK 2024 has been revealed, with the 16 brave singles having been recently unveiled. You can read more about them all here.
