Dancing with the Stars performer Stephani Sosa opened up about getting liposuction in a “transparent” TikTok where she shared details of the procedure.
The dancer said she had the surgery to “fully transform my body into what I have now,” in a TikTok video posted on Dec. 8. The sister of DWTS performer Ezra Sosa shared before and after photos from the procedure, saying, “I’m leaner now just because I was doing Dancing with the Stars and working out and eating really clean while I was on the show.”
She said she decided to get liposuction 360 — named for its full-circle method of targeting the abdomen, sides, and back — a year and a half ago, explaining she wanted to “invest in myself and my career, especially doing Latin ballroom.”
“I just wanted to shape my body and I had a really hard time my whole life trying to get the body that I’ve always wanted. I wanted to do it for me and my career. I was so fed up with the industry telling me how my body should look … I was just so over it and I needed to do it for me. So I did.”
The former So You Think You Can Dance contestant shared details about her recovery, saying it took about six to eight weeks and was “very, very painful.” Sosi also shared that she got a fat transfusion, which she explained as “they take out the fat cells on the unwanted areas and they put it in the places that you want the fat. So if I were to gain weight again, it would go into those specific areas.”
These days, Sosi says, she continues to work out and “eat relatively clean now, just to maintain my body,” adding that working out with a personal trainer also helped shape her physique.
“My body completely changed, so it was a combination of that, and having a personal trainer, and eating relatively clean. It was the best decision I ever made, I feel like my life changed: my confidence, my happiness.” She invited her followers to ask any questions and said she would be happy to answer them.
“I want to be very open and transparent with you guys because I love you.”
