Dorit Kemsley revealed where she stands with Kyle Richards before filming the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion last month.
After Kyle, 55, suggested that the two of them weren’t as close as Dorit had claimed, Dorit, 47, admitted their feud “hurts” her as she confirmed which of her co-stars she spoke to just before the taping and offered an update on her marriage to Paul “PK” Kemsley, 57, which faced hardships throughout season 13.
“I’m not going into this reunion on the best terms with Kyle,” Dorit shared with Bravo ahead of the RHOBH season 13 reunion taping, noting that the special was the first in which they were “not in a great place.”
“It hurts me, and I got a lot of feelings, and I really need to be open and honest because I care enough about our friendship, and it’s important to me that the air is cleared,” she explained.
As RHOBH fans may recall, Kyle accused Dorit of exaggerating their friendship last month after Dorit suggested she’s been replaced by Morgan Wade, 29, whom Kyle began spending much more time with amid her split from Mauricio Umansky, 53. She then appeared on Jeff Lewis Live, where she suggested Dorit lied about their closeness.
“She said, ‘I just feel replaced by Morgan…’ I mean, and I love Dorit, I mean that. I love Dorit, I love her family but she’s never been in the years since she joined the show, that girl that I would, you know, the first morning call or going to workout with or going for breakfast,” Kyle clarified. “So I was like, ‘Let’s not exaggerate it for the sake of you doing an interview bite to have a moment ’cause that’s just making problems worse for me.’ And she knows that. So I was like, ‘Thanks a lot, that’s not even true.’”
Prior to the reunion, after getting some advice from her “therapist” and husband PK, who “doesn’t always have the best advice, but he’s someone that [she] chats with a lot,” Dorit said Erika Jayne, 52, was the last co-star she spoke to. She also noted that her marriage to PK has improved substantially since they filmed season 13.
“It’s so nice to finally feel and say PK and I are doing great,” she said. “The best in a long time, and I’m very happy about that – definitely heading into 2024 with a very optimistic and happy feeling.”
We had some really trying times, and there were definitely moments where I didn’t know which way it was going to go,” she added. “That is a hard thing to swallow and live with, but things are great.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
