In the Days of our Lives recap for November 10, 2023, Dimitri and Leo’s attempt to escape Salem once again hits a major snag.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
In addition, the rug is pulled out from under Sloan, Stephanie rides to Everett’s rescue, and Chad contemplates underhanded tactics. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what happened.
Pregnant Pause
Leo (Greg Rikkart) was at a loss for words. Officer Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) standing outside his and Dimitri’s (Peter Porte) hotel room door? This is just like that nightmare of his. Except that he and his lover had been naked and in bed. But other than that, this was eerily similar.
Mr. Stark was further put out to hear that his addiction to flaming hot cheese puffs — the very snack that he and Dimitri had gone out to purchase — would be his undoing. How could they have been so stupid? Of course, someone saw them in that convenience store.
Jada insisted that she was bringing the fugitives in — dead or alive. Dimitri disagreed. Soon the villain got the drop on the cop and found himself at a crossroads. He really, really wanted to shoot her dead, but Leo argued that he wasn’t a killer. At least, not anymore.
Having settled for knocking Jada unconscious, Dimitri joined Leo in hopping into her car and speeding off. Desperate to reach Rolf’s (Richard Wharton) sub in time, Dimitri wound up plowing into another vehicle — this one operated by a heavily pregnant, and clam chowder-craving, Nicole DiMera (Arianne Zucker)!
Doom And Groom
Speaking of Nicole, she’d been thrown for a loop earlier in the evening when Roman (Josh Taylor) let slip that Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) had tied the knot. Hmmmmm. And right after she told him she intended to marry EJ (Dan Feuerriegel). Coincidence? Nicole thinks not!
And that’s exactly what she relayed to Eric when she ran into him outside the pub. Eric admitted she was right. It made him realize it was time to do something bold. To make a real commitment. And it all clearly worked out for the best because he and Sloan were soon to welcome a little bundle of joy. Except they weren’t.
It turned out Melinda (Tina Huang) jumped the gun when she told the prospective parents that she scored them a baby. Not only was the little tyke still in utero, but Sloan would have had to agree to some shady dealings to get her hands on it. Not that she was opposed to that. But the shady lawyer who proposed the trade pulled out at the last minute. Damn! If you can’t trust a shady lawyer, then who can you trust?
Drastic Measures
Everett (Blake Berris) was a man with a problem, and he was sure that Stephanie (Abigail Klein) was the gal who could offer solutions. And she was. But before she (ever so reluctantly) agreed to help him attempt to turn The Spectator‘s fortunes around, she needed some reassurance. And Everett happily complied. He will respect their new normal and respect her boundaries….and her relationship with Chad (Billy Flynn).
Meanwhile, Chad bemoaned Everett’s existence to EJ, and his big brother offered up a solution. Chad should purchase The Spectator and relieve Everett of his position. Chad demurred…until he caught Everett and Stephanie brainstorming. Then EJ’s proposal started to look pretty good to him.
