In the Days of our Lives recap for October 25, 2023, Rachel is tricked into blaming Kristen for her black-eyed…pea costume. How clever Gabi and Stefan are.

Days of our Lives Recap Highlights

In addition, Brady played his part in setting his ex-wife up, Harris got bad vibes from Gil, Gil put Ava on notice, and Dimitri and Leo stayed one step ahead of the Fuzz. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what happened.

Days of our Lives Recap: Frame Job

While Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) crowed to Gabi (Camila Banus) that she and EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) were getting closer all the time upstairs, Stefan (Brandon Barash) and Rachel (Finley Rose Slater) finished their game of 20 questions downstairs.

The end result was Stefan promising Rachel Taylor Swift tickets — on the proviso that she win a local best costume contest. The little girl’s dream outfit was vampire-princess meets Tik Tock sensation but Gabi had a better suggestion. A literal black-eyed pea. Won’t that be something? Who doesn’t love a costume that’s a play on words?

In no time flat Gabi had Rachel all dolled up to look like she went a couple rounds in the ring. All that remained was getting the little girl to “admit” on camera that it was Kristen who did this to her. Because only parents could help their kids with their costumes. And, Rachel really, really wanted those Taylor Swift tickets.

Brady (Eric Martsolf), meanwhile, filled Marlena (Deidre Hall) in on the gist of the plan. Does she think he’s crazy? Is he going too far? Maybe…maybe not. What really concerned Marlena was what Gabi and Stefan got out of the plan.

Brady, for his part, couldn’t have cared less. He just wants his little girl back. So, when Stefan came calling and ordered Brady to start a blowup with Kristen in the town square, he happily obliged. Stefan, of course, was on hand to record Kristen as she shouted incriminating sound bites. So far, so good.

DAYS Recap: Job Opportunities

Having met Gil, Harris (Steve Burton) couldn’t help but believe that something was off. Jada (Elia Cantu) floated the idea that her partner was being a tad overprotective of Ava (Tamara Braun). Harris agreed that could be the case.

Gil threw a hissy fit over Ava’s association with two of Salem’s finest, then decided that the trio’s “fraternization” could be used to the gang’s advantage. And as for Ava’s continued attempts to weasel out of the deal with Clyde (James Read)…not one gets out alive. Also, Clyde has eyes and ears everywhere. He’ll know if Ava’s squeals to Harris.

DOOL Recap: Genuine Love

In an effort to prove just how much he loved his lover, Dimitri (Peter Porte) gave Leo (Greg Rikaart) a solid out. But Leo didn’t bite. In fact, he doubled down on the plan to don sheets and head over to the Salem Inn to search for his stash of cash.

Despite Jada and Harris hovering close by, the scheme team not only managed to infiltrate Leo’s old room and grab what they needed but caused a bit of damage and had restroom breaks. Then it was a quick jaunt back to their no-tell motel to celebrate their victory. As for Harris and Jada, they were left trying to figure out why the fugitives had risked doubling back.
