In the Days of our Lives recap for November 15, 2023, the wool is pulled over not only Nicole and EJ’s eyes, but Eric’s as well. Surely one out of the three will be able to connect the very obvious dots.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
In addition, Dimitri came through for Leo in a big way, and Marlena basked in some good news. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what happened.
Mother Load
In a hotel room somewhere in Salem, Melinda (Tina Huang) monologued to Nicole’s (Arianne Zucker) stolen baby. Everything will be fine. Mommy Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) will love him like he’s her own. And, real Daddy Eric (Greg Vaughan) will help make them one big happy family. But, only if she and Sloan are able to “pull off this crazy ass plan.”
Of course, they would be. Crooked yet first-rate physician Dr. Pierce didn’t take much convincing to put his Hippocratic oath on the backburner in favor of a few thousand bucks. Soon, he gave the wee one the all-clear and headed to the hospital to deliver some soul-crushing news.
Meanwhile, EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) attempted to soothe a fretful Nicole. Sure, his nephew is a “duplicitous son of a bitch,” but he’s absolutely sure that Dimitri (Peter Porte) wouldn’t hurt a baby. Especially one that he no doubt intended to use as leverage to extricate himself from his legal woes.
Still, just to be on the safe side, EJ did race over to the police station and demanded that Leo (Greg Rikaart) tell him what the Hell his boyfriend has done with “his” son. Unfortunately, Leo was no help.
So, it was back to the hospital for EJ. There he was greeted by Johnny (Carson Boatman), Holly (Ashley Puzemis), and, later, Dr. Pierce. The not-so-good doctor spun the couple a story about a preemie being dropped off at the hospital and how the babe had ultimately passed away. The couple were inconsolable in their grief.
Bearing The Burden
Having assured the “love of his life” that he wouldn’t let him rot in “some God-forsaken prison,” Dimitri put in a call to Sloan. This put rather a damper on her and Eric’s celebration post her announcement that the baby they intended to adopt was born. (And how coincidental it happened on the same night that Nicole gave birth. What are the chances?!)
Dimitri revealed that Leo needed a “damn good lawyer.” Who better than Sloan? Ms. Petersen Brady agreed…but only so she could reunite the two and get them to “a land far, far away from Salem.” That would be best for all three of them.
Good News, Bad News
Opposite the above, Eric filled Marlena (Deidre Hall) in on his good fortune. To say that she was ecstatic for him would be an understatement. He’s wanted this for so long, and now it’s a reality. Now, if only things could work out for Nicole too, hoped Eric. No sooner had he said that than he got a call from Holly with the awful news of Nicole’s son’s passing.
