In the Days of our Lives recap for Friday, December 1, 2023, Dimitri decided that, when push comes to shove, he loves Leo just a little bit more than he loves himself.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
In addition, Nicole and Eric anxiously awaited the results of a DNA test, and Tate endeavored to give Holly what she wanted most in the world — time alone with Johnny. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what happened.
Heart Monitor
Having learned from the morning paper that Leo (Greg Rikaart) is still facing arraignment on multiple charges (including murder), Dimitri (Peter Porte) texted Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) several warnings. The gist? She’s screwed for lying to him!
In a desperate bid to save her bacon, Sloan rushes off. Before leaving she assured Eric (Greg Vaughan) that whatever he and Holly (Ashley Puzemis) need to do to get Nicole (Arianne Zucker) to accept that the baby they adopted isn’t hers is A-okay. The two have hit upon the idea of a DNA test. One that will surely out Sloan’s deception. D’oh!
In the interrogation room at the SPD, EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) delighted in informing Leo (Greg Rikaart) that the judge denied Sloan’s motion to quash the murder charges. He’s going to go down for a long, long time. Leo strenuously disagreed.
He was well aware that the court of public opinion had already declared him a victim, and despite not being a real court of law, it’s probably the only court that counts. He was sure that his fans, and any and all jury members, would be able to see that EJ was attempting to railroad him and would demand his resignation.
EJ huffed and declared that Leo had overestimated his importance. Still, he’d be open to doing him a solid — if he ratted out Dimitri’s location. That’s the big fish. The one that EJ really wanted to get his hands on. But, Leo didn’t know where his lover was. Not that he’d tell even if he did.
Meanwhile, Sloan did her utmost to convince Dimitri not to tattle on her. He came pretty close — he even phoned Nicole and insisted they needed to have an important talk. But, he was finally convinced to stay silent. Furthermore, Sloan managed to talk him into offering himself up to authorities on the provision that Leo was freed.
While Sloan headed off to offer the deal to EJ, Dimitri received a visitor at his hidey-hole. Hello? Is that opportunity knocking?
Spit Take
Nicole was beyond delighted when Holly informed her of the DNA that Eric had agreed to submit the baby to. In no time flat, she was at the hospital, toothbrush in hand, ready to get the show on the road. Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) took the samples and revealed that the results should be ready in about an hour. In the meantime, Nicole cooed at the baby who still did not have a name. Eric was kind and courteous and careful to not say or do anything to hurt Nicole’s feelings.
Catching On Quick
Over at the Brady Pub, Johnny (Carson Boatman) and Chanel (Raven Bowens) indulged in a new ritual: eating breakfast together. Actually, make that attempted to indulge in a new ritual. First, Chanel was distracted by the new bracelet that Johnny was supporting — courtesy of Holly.
Then the two debated whether or not the girl had a crush on her stepbrother. Chanel swore that it was true; Johnny demurred. Eavesdropping Tate (Jamie Martin Mann) backed Holly to the hilt, then distracted Chanel with a request for a job at the bakery.
While the two set off to get the application process started, Johnny remained behind. Holly, whom Tate had reached out to with news of his actions, raced over to the pub and blurted that she had something to tell Johnny.
