“Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) Spoilers are heading for a pretty huge climactic moment pretty soon when it’s discovered Sloan Petersen (Jessicka Serfaty) has Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) and EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel)’s baby.
We’ve been saying since the beginning this feels like the writers’ idea to have Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole get back together despite fans not really wanting it to happen.
And maybe it won’t?
There are a lot of moving parts in this, with Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) being the biggest liability next to Sloan’s conscience, and things could get pretty interesting.
But there may be a way for Sloan to survive this, and it’ll be because of Melinda Trask (Tina Huang), which is only fair since Melinda is the main reason Sloan is in this current situation.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Closing in
With Leo threatening blackmail to get Sloan’s help or more, things are going to look bleak for her as she’ll have to give in or face the consequences.
Sloan’s been waffling between keeping up the lie or coming clean since the beginning, and if Melinda hadn’t been the devil on her shoulder she would’ve told Eric long before now and things could be far different.
But Melinda’s tough and can hold her own with anyone, and we don’t see her backing down even if she’s faced with EJ’s fury.
And this is where ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers thinks there’s a chance Melinda will protect Sloan.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Taking one for the team
We love the character development over the last year with Melinda and Sloan as they’ve grown from being cut throat attorneys to being good people and good friends.
And since Sloan has everything to lose in this situation, we think it’s possible that when everyone starts circling that Melinda will take the full blame. She’ll say she agreed to take the baby, she set it all up, and then passed it off to Sloan and Eric as an adopted child.
Leo can try to counter her all he wants, but she’ll make it her word against his, and we have a feeling hers will have some more weight.
Especially if EJ has a say as he’ll want to crucify anyone for taking his son, assuming he still has a job at the point and doesn’t come unhinged.
If Melinda does this, then Sloan gets a clean slate to work with and the pressure will be on Eric on whether he’ll leave her to try to get back together with Nicole or stay with her since he does keep saying he loves her.
