‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers really enjoyed some of the moments we got to see in October 24’s episode as the writers hit it out of the park, and they got us wondering what’s being set up for down the road?
We’ve been loving how Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) and Marlena Evans (Diedre Hall) have become the Gossip Queens of Salem with their daily coffee or lunch at the Pub.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Kayla Gets Catty; Is She Looking to Break up the Gossip Queens?
They’ve been growing closer and more comfortable with each other with each talk, and it’s been great seeing them commiserate and support each other as things have been happening to mess up their lives.
It’s an odd pairing given how they’ve been adversaries so many times before, but sharing a post life encounter seems to have given them an appreciation of each other.
Unfortunately, they’re missing a member as Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) has been busy working extra hours at the hospital since they’re low staffed at the moment.
Not that ‘Days of Our Lives’ expect her to get along with Kate, as we got to see in this episode when she was nice and catty as she tried to trigger Kate’s inner Karen.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Rough day
Kayla doesn’t like Kate, and when the need arose she tolerated her at best. So any tension between them is understandable, but we’d like to think Kayla could get over herself to some degree.
But then she did have a bad day by being handcuffed to a bed when Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) and Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte) made their escape. Of course, if the hospital had any security at all and the police weren’t short handed it probably wouldn’t have happened.
At this point, we expect a revolving door at the hospital. Kayla really seems like she’s in over her head at times.
But while her mood is a good reason for her mood, she could be jealous of Kate.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Feeling left out?
Kayla and Marlena are best friends, and while that hasn’t changed for Marlena, Kayla could be feeling threatened with Kate moving in and chatting away with Marlena every day.
It wouldn’t surprise us if there’s a storyline to come with these three that will put their relationships to the test, and this feels like a good way to start moving in that direction.
‘Days of Our Lives’ wonder if this will be the last straw for Kayla and she’ll be fired from the hospital since these things always seem to happen when she’s in charge.
That would be one thing that could shake things up as she struggles with her career being over and have to see Kate more.
