Whelp, ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) Spoilers have been waiting for the real post-Abigail Deveraux (Marci Miller) Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) to step out, and it looks like he’s going to do so for the holidays.
He’s been showing flashes for a while as he undermined Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson)’s relationship with Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein), and since then he’s acted as badly as possible as he’s tried to control her relationships.
Until now, she’s been able to reign him in, but since he’s been mourning Abigail all over again, they’ve been at odds and it’s because she has to remain quiet and deal while he can rant, rave, and control her choices.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Taking control
For whatever reason, it looks like Stephanie will invite Everett Lynch (Blake Berris) to Thanksgiving dinner with the family. This has disaster written all over it, and ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers expect Chad will have enough and let his possessive pig colors fly.
From the way it looks in the weekly spoilers, he’s going to give a toast and announce to everyone that he bought Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien)’s half of The Spectator and his first act is to fire Everett.
In front of everyone.
Yeah, this is going to lead to a glorious fight between Chad and Stephanie and officially end their relationship.
And it may lead to Everett starting the Horton house on fire, but that’s another story.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Is Chad self sabotaging his relationship?
Chad wasn’t always such a slime, so it’s got us thinking that despite saying he wants to move on with Stephanie that he’s actually trying to end their relationship.
It only took him until the holidays to start really acting out, but it makes sense since he was never really ready to move on.
He simply saw Stephanie as someone he wanted to fill a void, and now that he has her he’s struggling with betraying Abigail’s memory.
The fact no one will ever match Abigail in his mind doesn’t help, and then forcing her to accept the weight of his sorrow and guilt is no way for a relationship to function.
At this point, he may as well give her a time card as to when they can interact so he can have his time to feel sorry for himself and miss Abigial.
