Days of our Lives spoilers for Tuesday, August 6, center on Paulina, who, in her job as mayor, asks Jada, in her role as a cop, to hurry up and arrest someone for Rafe’s stabbing. Doesn’t Jada want her boyfriend’s attacker put behind bars? This really crimps Paulina’s mayoral style, making it look like she can’t even get justice for her own Chief of Police!
Theory Versus Practice
It’s not that Jada (Elia Cantu) doesn’t want to identify Rafe’s (Galen Gering) attempted murderer. It’s just that she doesn’t have anything to go on. Connie (Julie Dove — who we interviewed here.) told Ghost Li (Remington Hoffman) that she wiped her fingerprints off the knife she left in Rafe, and well, that’s that! It’s not like Jada can identify the knife used to stab Rafe — Connie said it was part of a set — and track down who in Salem bought it. It’s not like she can look at security camera footage of people coming in and out of the park (we know they exist; it’s what was used to pin Abigail’s [Marci Miller] murder on Clyde [James Read] a while back).
And if she can’t do that, well, Paulina (Jackée Harry) is also out of ideas. The only person who is actually thinking in Salem is Connie. And she’s thinking about how to avenge Li’s death, which she caused. That should be pretty simple, then.
Still Angry
Gabi (Cherie Jimenez — did you know this?) went to prison for killing Li, even though she swore she didn’t do it (and we know she didn’t). And she’s still kind of mad about it. Gabi is grateful to Stefan (Brandon Barash) for getting her out. But that doesn’t mean she’s forgiven EJ, who railroaded her. Gabi wants revenge. And she wants Stefan to support her. Let her explain to him why he should.
The People Next Door
Now that Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) knows he isn’t Victor’s (John Aniston) son, it’s time for him to move out of the family mansion (though he’s still a Kiriakis, so….). It’s time for him to go back to his apartment—you know, the one across the hall from Stephanie (Abigail Klein).
