The latest update on Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for Monday, August 5 indicates that Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) will be shocked by their latest find because it’s the last thing they ever expected.
Talk about John Black (Drake Hogestyn) going missing in Greece has suddenly picked up steam, but it turns out that he’s actually moved to Poplar Bluff, the old haunt of Clyde Weston (James Read).
Jack and Chad will untie John as well as remove his gag, so he’ll definitely be grateful.
Of course, John will need medical attention, but he’ll also want updates from Chad and Jack on what led them to that abandoned building.
John will find out about the mystery woman (AnnaLynne McCord) footage and offer up an abduction story of his own as they all try to nail down some answers.
Back in Salem, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) will fear the worst when Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) shares the clues he uncovered.
Steve found a note with John’s blood on it at Catharin a’s (Ellie Patrikios) grave, so Marlena will worry about an attack.
Although Steve will admit John vanished from his hotel, Marlena won’t have to fret for long.
John will presumably get in touch with good news about his rescue, so Marlena will breathe a sigh of relief and reunite with him soon enough.
Other Days spoilers say Fiona Cook (Serena Scott Thomas) will probably have to invent a story to appease Xander Cook (Paul Telfer), who just found something disturbing in her suite.
Whether that’s evidence of booze or proof that a man’s been there, Fiona will try to throw Xander off track.
Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) will spend more time with Fiona in the coming episodes, but he’ll take a moment to connect with Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) on Monday’s DOOL show.

Our Days forecasts indicate that Stephanie and Alex will eventually get back together romantically, therefore DOOL writers will begin preparing for that during the week of August 5–9.
