It’s becoming clearer that Paulina (Jackée Harry) is suffering from something more than just being tired. She keeps lying to herself — and everyone else — saying everything is “fine” , but it’s not fine. Chanel (Raven Bowens) takes notice. And, Chanel takes action.
She insists her mother go to the hospital right then and there! No arguing, no sweeping it under the rug. None of that. It’s time to figure out what’s going on and for Paulina to get the help she desperately needs.
A Not-So Happy Birthday
Once at the hospital, Chanel reaches out to Johnny (Carson Boatman) for support. Can he come be by her side? Well, it depends on whether or not he can pry himself away from a very sad birthday girl.
Poor Holly (Ashley Puzemis) is upset and lonely. She should be celebrating her big day and basking in being the center of attention. Instead, her mother is in mourning, and there’s a dark cloud over the DiMera mansion. Does Johnny have the heart to leave her to wallow?
The Best (And Worst) Of Times
Meanwhile, the three most prominent couples in town take a look back at days gone by. The holidays are a time for family, friends, and reflection, which is exactly what John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena (Deidra Hall) do best.
They join Steve (Stephan Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), as well as Kate (Lauren Koslow) and Roman (Josh Taylor), to reminisce. They’ve been through some great times and some terrible times and are thankful they’ve made it through it all.
