A bride who paid Tom Sandoval to play with his band at her wedding revealed how it went and how much he charged. The Vanderpump Rules star fell into infamy in March of 2023 when his affair with Rachel Leviss was exposed.
Tom continues to sing with his band, Tom Sandoval & The Most Extras. He recently starred on Peacock’s game show, The Traitors, which is now airing. On the show, Tom is often treated like the villain, though he rooted out Survivor star Boston Rob as a ‘traitor.’
This week, a woman who hired Tom and his cover band to play at her wedding in Santa Barbara, California, in May of 2023 told PEOPLE how it went. She apparently has a friend who’s connected to his band, so her “discount[ed]” price was $16,000.
“It was honestly so much fun and I don’t think anybody left the dance floor,” said Jenn Wright, the former bride. “He was just super fun and got everyone pumped up.”
News of Scandoval reached headlines shortly before the wedding, so Jenn warned guests that Tom was set to perform.
“I think the overall sentiment was just kind of like, ‘Alright, like let’s see what they got,’ ” Jenn recalled. “Once they took the stage, he had a blast. I think the whole band had a blast. Everyone was really into it.”
Taylor Ulrich, Jenn’s best friend, recently shared a clip on TikTok of Tom’s performance at the reception, and he sang The Proclaimers’ “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles).”
“The dance floor was grooving despite the last episode of [The Traitors],” said Taylor, alluding to Tom’s strange vocalization of backward nursery rhymes in a recent challenge for The Traitors season three.
In less than a day, Taylor’s video had half a million views and over 700 comments. In the comments, Taylor hinted that Tom typically would charge “between $25,000 to $40,000” for an event.
“It was actually so fun. The band was really good,” Taylor shared with PEOPLE. “He’s a little off, but he’s still good.”
