Brandi Glanville has been dealing with some very public medical issues that have severely derailed her career. She has also been open about the toll it has taken on her finances. Now, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum is opening up about how much she has spent on trying to improve her life and live a more normal existence.
As fans know, Brandi’s health issues have been ongoing for a couple of years now. She has sought help from several doctors, including Terry Dubrow. While there is no clear answer regarding what’s going on with her face and overall well-being, she has said that she thinks it’s some sort of parasitic infection. Brandi also recently admitted that things had become so dire for her at one point that she tragically considered taking her own life.
Brandi sat down for an interview with US Weekly to discuss the impact her medical issues have had on her life. Regarding where she stands financially, she said, “I’m out of funds. I’m out over six figures at this point. I don’t have the means to go anywhere at this point. I’m online every day, going down a different rabbit hole. It’s exhausting. It’s all-consuming.” Specifically, she said she has spent “over $113,000.”
Though she’s going through dire financial and physical straits, the RHOBH alum hasn’t given up hope. She continued, “I just wanna find a doctor who makes it, like, his mission to help me. And not just me, [but] these other poor women who have been going through this for so long, and men, too. I’ve had a couple [of] men reach out. I feel for them, like, I know exactly what they’re talking about and the pressure in their head, how they feel it’s gonna explode. … I’m at my wits’ end.”
She also detailed some of what she’s done to find a solution to her problem. “So, I went to the best infectious disease doctor, I went to the best allergist. I had to because when you’ve seen every doctor at Kaiser and they’re telling you, ‘Maybe see a dentist.’ And you’re like, ‘I’m at the dentist constantly, [but] there’s a lump in my neck and my throat under my cheekbone that goes to the other side of my face,’” Brandi explained.
Additionally, she has had CAT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds. Still, she doesn’t have the answers to “whatever’s living in [her] face.” She described her experience by saying, “It’s moving down my body, like, literally in my neck now moving on my left shoulder [and] down my arm. I have to get up, I have to stretch, I have to get in a hot tub. I have a routine and it sucks.”
Regarding her lowest moment, she revealed, “[My lowest moment is] just not living life and missing out on life. I literally don’t do anything, and I feel like I’m experiencing [the] COVID-19 [pandemic lockdown] all over again, but with some miserable side effects.” She also compared her isolation to a “prison.”
Brandi went on, “I miss socializing with my girlfriends and then having sex with men. I’m a Scorpio. I love sex. So, I was having a lot of it and now I haven’t had any of it and I’m like, ‘Have I forgotten how to kiss?’ But, like, I’ve lost myself. I feel more insecure than I ever have in my life. Normally, I feel fairly secure, and I don’t get nervous. I don’t get anxiety about most things. Some things do give me anxiety, don’t get me wrong, but I feel like I lost Brandi.”
More recently, she has also tried a Cellsound treatment. She described it by saying, “It’s an ultrasound therapy. It pisses off whatever’s going on there and it gives me reprieve from the pressure and it’s been very helpful.”
She has also been taking antibiotics and doing stem cell treatment. She remarked on how it’s changed her experience by saying, “Right after [Kong’s treatment], I had more energy. I feel better. I mean, it hasn’t helped the looks of anything as of yet, but I’ve only done it once. I feel like, because my whole body aches, it’s very bizarre.”
Brandi also recently released a collaborative music video for a new song called “Remedy.” According to her, it has made a major difference in her outlook on life. She told US Weekly, “I had the time of my life. I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I’m alive again. This is what I’ve been missing out on in life.’ Literally, I’m in Groundhog Day. So to do that was so fun, and Australians are my favorite people. We were just joking nonstop all day long on the set. It was just the best shoot day.”
