Anna Delvey Slams ‘Predatory’ Dancing With The Stars And Claims Show ‘Exploited Her For Attention’ – After Her Early Elimination

Anna Delvey has spoken out after being eliminated from Dancing With The Stars on Tuesday, during week two of the competition.

The 33-year-old formerly incarcerated socialite — who was recently criticized by Maksim Chmerkovskiy — feels she wasn’t given a ‘fair chance’ as she trained alongside professional dancer Ezra Sosa.

Speaking to NBC News, Anna said: ‘I feel that the show so obviously used me to drive up the ratings, that they never had any plans to give me any chance to grow and only cared about exploiting me for attention.’

Furthermore, she called the popular dance series ‘predatory.’

‘It was predatory of them to try [to] make me feel inadequate and stupid all while I did get progressively better, yet they chose to disregard that,’ Delvey opined.

On Tuesday night Delvey and Sosa performed a quickstep routine to KT Tunstall’s 2024 hit song Suddenly I See.

After she got the boot from the contest, she shared with NBC: ‘It felt like I was never really given a fair chance by the viewers or some of the judges given their nonsensical scoring.’

The previous week she also failed to impress the panel of judges after dancing a cha-cha to Sabrina Carpenter’s catchy hit Espresso.

Anna and her partner earned just 18 out of 30 possible points.

‘It’s supposed to be a dance competition and not a popularity contest,’ the star, who was recently released from prison, emphasized.

Igniting even more backlash, the influencer had a shocking reply when co-host Julianne Hough asked what she’d take away from the experience.

‘Nothing,’ she answered plainly before breaking out in laughter.

The following day she said on Good Morning America that her favorite part of the experience was ‘getting eliminated.’

Tori Spelling was also eliminated from the dance trials this week.

Anna later joined her on her podcast Misspelling to discuss their time on the show.

When announced as a dance contender on DWTS in late August, she received a wave of backlash for being included in the latest season following her criminal past.

She is known for swindling people out of money while she posed as a German heiress.

The scammer, who was portrayed by actress Julia Garner in the Netflix miniseries Inventing Anna, was jailed in 2019 for her crimes.

Former DWTS pro Chmerkovskiy was among the naysayers.

Last week while appearing on The TMZ Podcast, he unleashed a wave of criticism against Anna, dubbing her a ‘s****y dancer.’

‘There’s so many other people you could choose from,’ he said about the producers’ decision to cast the media fixture.

When asked how many weeks he thought she’d last on the long-running competition show, Maksim said, ‘I don’t care. She’s not somebody I tune in to watch.’
