Denise Richards said she doesn’t remember “half the night” of Kyle Richards’ ‘Dinner Party from Hell,’ and she shared what medicine she took beforehand. She also slammed Erika Jayne as a “b**ch,” and she told Dorit Kemsley to “shut the f**k up.”
During the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills dinner, which was infused with weed for certain guests, Denise wore odd facial expressions, and her conversation with Erika made little sense. After the scene aired, fans wondered if Dense was okay.
On the Just B with Bethenny Frankel podcast, Denise claimed she earned a “guest fee” after appearing in the scene, and she was “asked by Garcelle [Beauvais]” to film it.
“I said, ‘You know what? If you’re there, I’ll go and do it,’” said Denise. “[But] I find it a little odd to have someone who is supposedly sober host a weed party.”
“And I voiced that I do not do weed, I do not do edibles, [or] any of that. And it doesn’t mix well with my body. I’ve tried weed twice, for the record,” she added. “I said I don’t think I should go to this … cause I don’t, just cause I cannot have weed. And they said, ‘Don’t worry. We have [food] without weed.’”
Denise admitted she “went sideways” at the party, and when she got home, her husband asked, “What is wrong with you?” Denise added, “I go, ‘I don’t know’ … I had never been like that in my life.”
Denise claimed she had “one cocktail” before the party as she was “nervous” to see the women. She also said she was “sick.”
“In hindsight, I probably shouldn’t have gone,” she continued. “Progressively during the evening I felt worse and worse, and then I just remember not half the night. It was bizarre.”
Denise explained she took “regular cold medicine” before the party, but “nothing crazy.” She wondered, however, if there was a “mixup” with the food, and she consumed the weed without realizing it.
“All I know is when I got home, I was like … ‘there’s something wrong with me,’” said Denise.
She also addressed her issues with Erika, who was confused by Denise’s confrontation over Erika’s past behavior.
“How do you not know [that] you were such an a**hole to me?” asked Denise. “Why were you such a b**ch to me [in the second season]?”
At the time, Denise didn’t want to address the “list of things” Erika did, but she said there was a “shift” in Erika’s energy throughout the season. “She’s not stupid. She f**king knew [what I was talking about],” said the actress.
According to Denise, she was angry that Dorit corrected her upside-down jacket because Dorit “always” tells women things like, “‘Oh your lipstick doesn’t look right. You need some lipgloss. You’ve got mascara [et cetera].’”
“That’s why I was like, ‘Stop. I don’t care … Shut the f**k up,’” said Denise of the scene. “‘Do you feel like you need to do that to make yourself feel more secure?’ I didn’t give a s**t that my jacket was upside down. I wanted to get the hell out of there.”
